  1. Irony is funny. Anyway, you don't believe me? Simple example...look at how many people now sport bandanas on their face. Prior to the x-games when you know who did it hardly anyone wore them like that. Now you can't go 3 feet on the mt without seeing someone with one on. No one used to wear XXL jerseys either, suddenly it showed up in video, (your wouldn't know since you don't watch them), and now all the little b-ballers are out on the hill. How about wide stances? Yeah that is from the pros. Headphones...you guessed it. You might think you are some nice original snowflake...but guess what kid, you are a product of marketing just like everyone else from the color of your jacket to the tricks that you do.
  2. The hip jump in the pipe now, if it had been made on the deck of one of the walls it would have used a lot less snow.
  3. Think you will be able to reg. the day of? I "might" be out of town that weekend so I don't want to commit to being there till I know for sure.
  4. Again, no. However, people that understand the snowboarding scene know that the videos/mags and the riders in them pretty much dictate the style. Anyone saying otherwise really has no clue what they are talking about. (i.e. you.) You wouldn't know that because you haven't watched the videos now have you. There is an old saying about people who assume things...you should look it up. And again, the issue isn't that you saw a single backflip or hell even two, its that there are way more over corked, rodeo, and underflip style tricks in these vids. And going back to the OP, those tricks are just as easy to learn and do as straigh flips.
  5. Spins are all about your head, once you head stops spinning your body will stop too. A lot of people when learning will spin the first 180 and then spot their landing which will kill their rotation, keep you head going and your body will follow.
  6. Yes I did, what part of that is so hard to understand? I guess I'll spell it out for you since reading comprehension doesn't seem to be your strong suit. If laid out back flips were so awesomely steezy they would be in tons of videos and all over the place in mags and what not because that is what people would want to see. You follow so far junior? Now since you have no basis for what is in these videos since you admittedly don't watch them you have no place in the conversation. Pretty simple really. Now if you had watched videos and had any idea what you were talking about your would see how much more prevalent rodeos and under flips in the videos. Back flips only really show up in the goof off parts like when guys are training a jump.
  7. So basically you admit you have no clue and are unqualified to be in the conversation. Thanks for clearing that up now move along kid.
  8. I might be up in the Scanton area this weekend and am thinking about hitting up Sno. How is the park setup and the overall conditions on the MT? Thanks.
  9. Thats kind of lame, it would make a pretty cool small butter pad though.
  10. Well he apparently doesn't know what style is if he things straight backflip are so steezy. By the way how do his nuts taste? Seriously if you have no idea what you are talking about its better not to say anything. You don't happen to wear XXXL jeserys or nut hugger pants do you? So wait you have seen 1 layed out backflip in 1 video in the last 3 or 4 years...LOL. Seriously get a clue.
  11. And lol and anyone that thinks a straight backflip looks better then this... http://www.0-21.co.uk/index.php/Switch-Underflip.html But hey you keep doing you killer straight flips and I'll stick to rodeos and underflips.
  12. You can say you have no ideo what style is. Straight front and back flips are lame. Have you ever even seen a snowboard video in say the last 10 years or so?
  13. Setup tonight was ok, but for the last few days what can you expect. The jump line was sick and small stair set was real good. That step down wedge jump thing was a lot of fun. The hip in the half pipe was good but the face got real choppy towards the end of the night.
  14. No shit, you're pretty quick. Its also called an underflip, but you probably knew that. That also makes it very similar to a backflip. That "gayflip 180" as you called is a FS rodeo. You know the basis of the trick you just posted. And? Who said anything about BS rodeos? What isn't the same? You hit you head or something? All I said is rodeos are just as eay to do as backflips and look much cooler. Even explained how to do them. Maybe try comprehending things you read before posting...it will prevent you from looking like a retard in the future. Uhh...no.
  15. Yeah i know, i was just saying there is still a jump there.
  16. Rodeos are just as easy as back flips and look much cooler. Instead of flipping backwards over you back sholder, you open up and flip backwards leading with your front sholder and the rest of the rotation just follows.
  17. lol at people bitching abouty features when it was 70 degrees out like 3 days ago.
  18. The c-box (superman) would be epic if it was placed on the deck of one of the walls kind of angled.
  19. Thats shit was fun as hell, hope we get soem steady cold weather to get another one of those set up.
  20. Straight backflips are stupid on a snowboard anyway. Go for a rodeo or over corked 5 instead, they are just as easy and are much better looking tricks.
  21. I think one of the best and easiest things to do would be to used the terrain to make some really nice hip hits. Build some nice hips on the deck of the halfpipe walls and use the transitions to extend the landing areas. It would allow for the creation of big hips using less snow. Looking down the half pipe from the top you could build one near the top on left and then another one on the right down towards the bottom.
  22. Looks like BC is getting some snow.
  23. When set up right the big wall ride is awesome. It is pretty are that it is setup and maintained well though.
