  1. They still have it, but I don't know what the price is... I contacted them about this last year and they basically told me they like to keep it under wraps and only disclose that information to those who went through the trouble of obtaining it... The past few years there was no deadline date and the price was the same throughout the year, so don't freak out over a timeline...

Have you talked to them this year? It'd be great if they still have it, but I have very little confidence it the new management.

  2. There's no point debating whether Camelback should have closed lifts as that's been beaten to death in the past. The point of this thread was to inform anyone who was considering going last night of the current lift situation, something Camelback fails to do officially.

  3. In case any one has plans to go tonight, they closed the Sullivan shortly after 3 and the Stevenson was closed before i arrived. The Bailey Lift and the Mark Anthony Lift were open. You could check the web cam to see if they start running it again but i somehow doubt that. Conditions were mostly hard pack due to the wind blowing snow off of the steep trails. The other slopes were probably ok, but I didn't take notice.

Because Camelback insists on closing lifts. It would be nice if someone would at least post lift closures on-line either here or on their website when they decide to pull stuff like this.

  4. Their website is severely lacking in usability. It seems like they ported the old site a year or two ago and never bothered to make sure everything actually worked.

As for the trail histories, they're still there but theres no links on the site. I found:

There's probably more. If you follow the pattern above you could probably find more.

  5. where the hell are there heated sidewalks? psu?

its been snowing all day here. about 2 hours ago i learned the hard way to wear glasses when i ride my bike when its snowing out.

Yeah, there's steam tunnels that run under the sidewalks and it melts the snow.

  6. I was at Camelback Wed. from 2:30 to 5:30 and had a lot of fun. But then again it was my second day back after a month of not riding and I completely avoided the park. I rode comfortably in a t-shirt all day. The blacks were in good shape, the snow was soft, but not slush yet (in most places), and the lift lines weren't bad either. The bumps on rocket today were set up almost perfect for a snowboard, so I had some fun on that. There were quite a few spots though, that were disgusting. There's a gapping hole on Pharaoh, but over all it seems like they have good coverage. (But then again, Pharaoh looked fine yesterday.)

  7. Beverage selection -- I got that from coming in the from checking the slopes --- and mixing my coffee with hot cocco, and reflecting on the wide assortment of drinks in the cooler and Main Lounge (for those 21 and over)...

We have huge selection of Pepsi Products, apple juice, orange juice and cranberry juice and gallons of coffee & hot cocco!!

Sorry for the lame line, it's early. In any event, the skiing/riding is going to be darn good today!!

Did CB sell their soul to Pepsi too?

I wish I could be riding there now. school <_<

  8. There would not be a problem with just the beginner park for the first week or two of the season. The problem is that we're over a month into the season and there has been no improvement of the park. There is only so much you can progress on that park and it doesn't take a month to get there. CB would be doing everyone a favor by putting in a bigger rail or two, even people who are just getting in to the park scene. Here's a question for Camelback. Can you really call it a 'progression park' if it's impossible to progress beyond 15' ride on flat boxes?
