  1. I just heard on the news that Sno Mountain is suing Washo for delaying the sale and defaming the company.

Sno Mountain LLC is suing minority Lackawanna County Commissioner Mike Washo, saying he has interfered with its contract to buy Montage Mountain Ski Area and also defamed the firm and its president.

  2. Also if im sounding arrogant, im not. I was just wondering why that guy said he wanted to meet girls off the internet. Thats :censored: internet date rape

This is the only refrence made to meeting girls on the internet.

See your desperate and you try and meet girls on the internet. And have fun getting with fat chicks bud.

Look at who it was posted by.

  3. Also, college kids generally don't have a lot of money so by offering a discounted rate you attract people who wouldn't spent that much other wise. For example I thought that I would not get a season pass this year, but because the pass is such a good deal I am thinking about getting it for the about a month I will be home during the winter. A season pass would not be worth it other wise, and I would be spending my money elsewhere. Like Glenn said, if they treat there customers in college well now, they will be much more likely to come back and spend more money as adults.

  4. Didn't CB used to have a season pass price for college students? I'm not seeing it on there website, so that really sucks if they got rid of it.

On a better note they dropped the junor limited pass price back under 300. (too bad I just turned 19 <_<)

  5. so, plexi glass is soft as shit

formica is actually expensive - 60 bucks for two 13 foot boxes, that are 1 foot wide. i think she said $1.53/sq ft

    uhmw/hdpe is even more expensive.

    so what the hell?

im making two boxes and so far i have only spent like 10 bucks on screws. now im down to the topsheet/coping and i think total its gonne be like 200 bucks.

    pipe is around 60 bucks.

Fixed that. Eventualy I want to add price comparisons as well as a table of materials for coping but haven't had the time.

  6. I fixed some of the concerns that were addressed and finished the top sheet table. I also formatted it to be more appealing and hopefully easier to read. I am still going to fix some more of the things everyone mentioned, including adding some diagrams. Again all suggestions are welcome.

  7. I'm surprise that they would do something that likely to push away season pass holders when there are at least two other major resorts within about half hour.

[edit] I guess that comes from corporate decisions that don't have much input from the actual mountain.

  8. I did a few things last year where I was surprised that there were no gashes in my board. My old board has scratches from just about every stone I've ever run over. Although I still wouldn't recommend looking for trouble.

  9. I looked around a little and couldn't find anything. I did find that adding a solute (i.e. salt) always lowers the freezing point. I think the fact that it makes it firm is caused because by the lowering of the freezing point the snow requires more energy to remain frozen, so it takes energy from the surrounding snow that doesn't have salt in it, causing it to freeze. (Kind of like maing ice cream.)

Now I just have to figure out why I care.
