  1. if bear creek would open up a freeride mtb park and dirt jump/ super park it would be off the hook! I would even donate endless hours of my time to build/ operate the park just to see it happen. ive been to mountain creek. your comparing apples to oranges. all bear creek has to do is do what it does best. focus on innovative ways to pull in the consumer. i built up a little shithole park in the woods and people FLOCK. with a few dedicated volunteers and a shuttle bus on the weekends bear creek could do something great. AND REMEMBER.... there is no reason why snowflex and freeride mtb couldn't operate at the same time due to the acreage on the opposite side of the mountain(for mtb use). BTW the xc trails are free(sign a waiver). no matter what style you ride there super gnarcore!!
  2. my girlfriend took her first air off of those jumps.... good for beginners.
  3. i went to blue last sunday and there was about a third to half the amount of fresh compared to bc. not that it matters in the jokonos anyway. i didnt see anything close to a 70 or 50 foot table top. there were huge kickers with super long transitions that is pretty much just the down slope. blue's hits are impressive compared to bc, but bc is more tricked/new school with thier wall and rails. ive been around for a while, and they have both stepped it up tremendously the past 5 years. most of the resorts are progressing at speeds too fast for the average 10 time a season/recreational riders.
  4. my girlfriend went she has a friend on ski patrol(debbie). she went later but debbie said it was 10+ inches and the place was empty from saturday night to sunday around 1:3o pm. the double was broken so you had to walk to the triple from the lodge and it was like "an ant farm" later on in the day. the early bird got the worm this morning.
  5. can anyone recommend a good shin/knee pad for rails? I'm a larger guy 220+ who falls hard. thanks.
  6. i went up sunday night when i THOUGHT the rain was going to stop. it was icy as sh*t. my girl took a hard spill and ive been hesitant to go since. I wanna hit it up today...but east coast ice is a killer.
  7. i was there wednesday they have fences and signs everywhere. it keeps the newbies away from the two big tabletops, but besides that i was getting sharked quite a bit. i think next season there should be a park only pass with rules on them(something like mountain creek/vernon).
  8. yeah i was there yesterday when channel 10 was there. was wondering what was going on. they didnt have the complimentary ski/board check running earlier, but later it was. good to know
