I was looking at sno mountain's website and saw that Smoke is now just a black. does anyone else find this weird. Smoke has always seemed harder. I also noticed that there are no plans for a new lift. I thought a new lift was on the way?

I think since there is never a liftline...a high-speed quad may be down the list a bit.

It's one of those things that would be nice to have....but we don't need it right now.

That's just my opinion.

well Boomer is certainly easier than Smoke but Boomer is a Double and smoke is not.

There isn't really anything scientific about trail ratings in America. You could make the case that Boomer has a longer sustained headwall, so it's more daunting to a skier/rider. My 7 yr old loves Boomer, but thinks Smoke is easier if it's bumped up. The main slope at our ski hill in The Hideout is rated as a black diamond...it's a little over 100' vert.

I guess youre right. It's totally up to the ski patrollers. I would like to see a high speed lift theres still since it would draw crowds and once the crowds got there it would move people up the mountain faste. I think it would pay for itself very quickly :D

That's sure an interesting way to look at it...so more ticket sales, then have them all over to the east side (Runaway/Fastrack) to enjoy the new toy, which creates a win/win situation?

You might be as smart as Method :o
