It wasn't overly challenging, but I think I remember a few rocky slopes. I want to say you could jog most of it, but I can't tell you for sure. It was a first for me, but my brother worked for the park service there back in the 80's, so he knew the trails reasonably well. From lot 4 we went down the mountain taking the south train to the old railroad bed. We walked the railroad bed back towards Camelback and then came up the mountain on the North trail.
