Shawnee is blowing snow right now.
Would love to use an Indy Pass day skiing at least the Pennsylvania trail with my girls on Black Friday to start their 10th skison.

Snows bubble is the smoothest lift I’ve ever been on. Got motion sickness and felt like I was gonna vomit the first 30 seconds I rode it for the first time.
So you are being sarcastic about it being smooth?
Or being smooth gives you motion sickness?

Welcome back!! I think it’s actually 650 vert if the new bubble lift is replacing the quad that goes over the old alpine slide and water park right in front of the base lodge. There’s a bubble lift at copper mountain and I don’t like it. Maybe if it was zero degrees out and super windy would be different or raining. Now camelback can be the rainy day destination….”get wet in the water park and stay dry on our bubble chair”
Enjoy the Bubbles at Okemo and Snow - and a real nice thing about the Snow bubble is on crowded days it draws the crowds away from the parallel non bubble HSQ

High speed 700' vert lift seems a bit short for a bubble.

Considering spending a night at one of the "Deluxe Glamping" sites this summer with Joy between a Saturday hiking Rickett's Glen and a Sunday rafting the Lehigh Gorge
Anyone ever give that a try? Thoughts on the different sites? From the map the Upper Lazy Lookout site seems like it would offer both more seclusion and better views.
Anyone done this before?
Thoughts?

Wound up doing same as last year.
Epic pass just for me and Indy Pass for all 3 of us.
Ordered Epic today to get the 10 Buddy ticket deals - which I may use for kids
IndyPass cost for kids last year came out under $9 per ski day.

Breakfast burritos are always a good time
Huevos Rancheros is my SW Breakfast fav, but more likely to have it for lunch or dinner to get an early start on a ski vaca.

@Ski2Live Live2Ski will love Breckenridge. He'll be awed by its size and amazingly flat groomers.
Hoping to find some good glades but understand conditions may not cooperate this year.

Did book CO trip - plan to hit Keystone & Breck for 3 days April 9, 10, 11
Hunter tomorrow is questionable as they seem to be down to 3 runs off top now, and it will be frozen solid till 11 or so. Will make the call when I wake and see report as no rush to get there early.
Still hope for Snow/Okemo Mon & Tues
Shame Blue couldn't at least pull off an April Fools fake re-opening announcement

If blue offered passes for $399 again next year you'd be right back.
If they offered $399 for me and $99 for each daughter like they did when I got our passes I would seriously consider getting it in addition to our Indy passes.

Must have missed you up there all those weekends 🙄
Cause I concluded after having a Blue pass the winter of 2018-19 that I would rather ski anywhere but Blue (except Mountain Creek) on weekends from mid December through late February

Yes if Blue operated without lift service which has never occurred in their nearly 45 year history.
With the lines some weekend days one might be able to make it a profitable venture even with lifts running. Even someone with a pass might take a $5 ride over an hour wait
-
Yeah - shame they called it quits. Next weekend could've had better conditions than this one with some effort.
1 hour ago, Schif said:Opening for an uphill only day would be cool too
With Blue's lay out someone could make a decent wage offering $5/person rides from lower lot to top lot. Not many other places that would be possible. Belleayre I guess but you could only access green trails that way.

Shawnee announced 11/25 opening via a video with folks standing in newly made snow.
Expect I will be either there with girls or Hunter on my own that day.
