Yeah not for people who ski Blue 2-4 days a week…and number of days would be 5 on the base Ikon pass and 7 on the full Ikon pass.
14 days of Poconos skiing is a fair amount when it also gets you 7 in Catskills and unlimited in VT, Rockies, etc.
Might be worth going to Blue less often to get all that.

Is this April fools day? You thinking about going back to Jack Frost/Big Boulder?
Probably worth waiting to see Ikon pricing and number of days being offered before getting a Blue or Cbk pass this year.

Hunter was real nice yesterday. Pretty much got the whole mountain open now other than lower K27, Westward, Anna Purna and the glades. And lines were very mild for Presidents Day. I got in 25 runs.
Sorry no pix - you all know what the place looks like

Certainly over 350. There does not seem to be much pitch anywhere else on WL.

Vertical served by Phoebe Snow lift is 608'
Vertical of White Lightning segment is 427'
Expect the headwall is close to 400'

If I was officially in charge of stats, I’d count it as 3 ski days..I’d also fuck with Ski2Lives stats although he might brag to his band mates about achieving 69 ski days at Brokeback mountain.
What is your issue with my stats?
Or do you just like to annoy me?

Thinking Roundtop will be best bet tomorrow AM as they were closed today with a power outage and won't get as cold overnight

Was considering skiing tomorrow but doubt it will be that great anymore as the wet snow will freeze up tonight

Couple of hours this morning at Frost. 33 when I got there, 37 when I left. Most of the time on east mountain. Still a long ways to get Floyd’s open, but they are trying. Exhibition open. They widened the bottom headwall of River Shot by pushing snow off to the right. Slopes are in great shape, very firm with a little soft stuff on top. Nothing off piste. Holding up well when I left. Top speed almost 15 mph faster than yesterday at that other mountain. Started not having an empty slope in front of me about 11.
First trips on new east mountain lift. Still as slow as before. Not running Tbolt lift weekdays.
Thanks for the update re Floyd's, RShot and glades. Better info than available on their site for sure. Might hit it for some turns tomorrow as limited time to ski this weekend.

Pretty - but they better price competitively as Montage already has at least a dozen hotels within a 5 minute drive

Spent a couple days at Hunter this weekend. Had the unfortunate experience of skiing a brand new trail there "Empire Trail". Unfortunate because as of last year "Empire Glade" was one of 4 marked glades at Hunter, and often the one open the most, and they decided to saw down its trees to make a short inconsequential blue trail.

Report now shows River Shot open.
Still no Floyd's, but of the two I prefer RS for the views - and also tends to stay better conditions all day with the two step headwall and width.

Enjoyed RT yesterday. Lines not bad. Pretty much all but Gunbarrel open now and they are making snow on that.

Where are you going? You’ve been quiet lately.
Most likely going to Frost for my first PA day of the season. Tomorrow's forecast does not look fun for a RT drive to Hunter. Fresh snow will make Frost fun too with easier access from highway and easier to get there early. Will go the long way up Tpk for clearer roads.

Bummed that WNEP Meteorologist John Hickey seems to have gotten canned. His reports (also posted on FB) were a great source of info on PA ski related weather.

were the kids pissed that you cancelled beaver creek?
Moved the BC trip to Spring Break when more terrain will be open there. Turned out they got a decent amount open, but it was looking shakey when I had to make the call. Had fun at Snow, Stowe and Okemo instead.

Just had a FB memory pop up that 6 years ago today I got Blue passes for 3 people (including 2 $99 6th grader passes) for a total of $599. I'd be willing to ski more than 14 days in the Poconos for a deal like that.
