Yeah but you won’t do it so it’s just hypothetical talk.

It depends on the relative pricing of megapasses. If Ikon, Epic, ORDA and Indy increased by enough then Blue/Cbk could be attractive.

Saturday at CB?  But Blue has ridic lines?   Fucking LOL dude.

i still think your "friend" would be better off with an Epic pass.

I've always found Cbk to have manageable lines at their slower lifts compared to Blue. Why I would opt for them on Sat.

Sale is live!  CBK addon is $243.

It looks like the add on is actually $263. Either way that is a nice option. To me a Blue/Cbk pass for $938 is a more attractive option thN Blue only for $675. I could enjoy spending Sat at Cbk and Sun at Blue far more often than I would ski either 2 days in a row.

  3. Yeah I mentioned the line thing - is it bad at beginners area too?

With 2 kids age 4 and 6 who got on skis once so far and loved it, this is an obvious move for her. I'm not suggesting she buy a Blue pass at $675 even with getting them for her kids. They won't go enough to make that worthwhile so she is better off buying day tickets when she takes them. Does Blue sell reduced price tix to access only beginner lifts?

Make sure you tell your "friend"  about the "waiting in ridic lines at Blue and skiing the same 1000 footer every weekend."

I would think advising your "friend" to buy an Epic pass would be the way to go.

He has a good point with the mini run. If given the choice sometimes I’d rather end my ski day on easy out or connector than on a plethora of amazing runs from frighteningly steep double diamonds to blue squares with twists and turns.  Touch the sky blue mountain

Easy Out to end the day. Only time I generally ski it. Traversing Connector bites.

And usually my only Burma run is start of day.

I haven't stood in a line at all this season at Blue, we'll ok maybe for 15 seconds at most. Especially since they added a 3rd high speed lift. Just make sure you arrive at 8:00 and ski only until 9:30. Then you can join us in the lot for Sausage Sundays

If I was gonna get up early enough to ski at 8 at Blue I'd rather get up 20 min earlier and ski at 830 at Hunter

We know. Too expensive and you aren't buying one. You can see yourself out of this thread now. I'm sure there will be a Mega Indy epic iconic super saver cost calculation thread for you to spam.

Pretty sure I will be spending at least $675 on a pass, but it will be good at more than one only ok mountain

Why do you like the top lot better?

    A combination of

Habit - it was the only game in town when I started

Ski right away rather than waiting in line first

    More scenic

Closer to my home - no reason to drive down and up a mountain an extra time.

    Facilities nicer looking

@Ski2Live Live2Ski is going to have his twins pretending they’re 9

Good chance my kids would rebel and tell a lifty so they would not have to spend a 2nd season waiting in ridic lines at Blue and skiing the same 1000 footer every weekend.

Nice deal though - I will tell a friend who has two young kids she is starting out skiing.

Recently tabulated that I have now taken each of my kids skiing 118x. Gotta find some deals to make that work.

  9. That means they doubled their price over 5 years since I bought mine there for $399 (along with 2x6th grade passes for $99/each so they are asking 25% more for 1 pass than I paid for 3).

Also more than either an Epic Local or Ikon Base went for last year.

Maybe they throw in Camelback too (including parking) at that price.

  10. Possibility of a nice window Fri afternoon with some soft snow after the rain stops and before the freeze over. Could be the best conditions of the weekend as well as fairly empty. It'll be a bit like threading a needle to hit it - hope to be at either Roundtop, JFrost or Shawnee in that window - monitoring where it is most likely to get its fullest expression.
