He ain't lying. Today was a blast. Lapped challenge and One Park. Best part was I was expecting A WROD and I ended up skiing this all day...
Couldn't believe the amount of tree skiing to be had off of challenge.
Really impressed with frost today. Had a lot of fun.
I might've snagged a shot of you RidgeRacer. I was out on Challenge from 2:15-3:00 shooting some skiing. What's your jacket, pants etc?

They are expanding pretty quickly, I'll give them that.
Weedreimer what's happening at BB? Saw that Freedom re-opened. Any chance for Love park and / or BB park trail by tomorrow night? A night session on those trails at BB appeals to me much more than holiday weekend crowds on Challenge.
I believe the focus with snowmaking has been Freedom, LOVE, Central, Tannenbaum, and Ski School to push to get open sooner. Boulder Park needs a ton of snow as it's wide but they were blowing on that. As far as tomorrow night nothing is out of the question being able to run around the clock. I'd say we'll have a better idea in the morning and we're being very aggressive at both mountains to expand our open terrain. Just this morning we expanded to Frosty and Thunderbolt at Frost.

What's the plan for pricing this coming weekend? Still looking at $25 tickets?
Depends on how much terrain we have open with how snowmaking expansion goes. Check our social media (Facebook or Instagram) or website and snow phone for updates. I'll be checking out and be without cell service and wifi until Saturday so unfortunately I won't be able to put any updates on PASR.

People hating on me but I have more days on the snow then all 3 people involved in this post combined lol. Yall were running and shit while I was actually on the snow. Hell, I even went rock climbing after snowboarding yesterday. Instead of hating, yall might wanna actually try skiing. The season is 25% over and most of this site has 1 or 2 days on the snow. I'll be going to frost tomorrow while yall nurse hangovers. But I'm only a wrod king, so I guess it doesn't matter
8 days for me so far but I guess that isn't fair... I'd make sure you remember goggles tomorrow not sure if we'll be blowing through the day or not yet.

Uber Gapertown
Switching from office chair to chair lift chair shortly, or at least that's the plan.

I'm assuming it will be delayed and pushed back at least a year, and the original projected cost will double

Hey POC, you think the 476 construction near landsdale will ever end?
Originally from that area and from what I know through our local township I believe the interchange is wrapping up through next summer than onto some other phase of who knows what.

We're open daily 8am to 4pm with $25 tickets. All the same goodies from this weekend. We'll be pushing snowmaking every chance this week to expand the terrain. Glad some of you guys made it out today, hope to meet and catch up with most of you throughout the winter. Here's a photo from today, yes it's park I know.

We'll be OPEN tomorrow tentatively with the same details as today. I'll post the few park shots I have but other than that it was not photo worthy by any means. We will be grooming it as much as we can in the morning but it rides fast and fun. Quick turns, drops, and bumps. Plans for some other park features as well, all of which are out of the way and the count will be 2-4 features total.

Be happy as fuck weed, you work for the only open pocono resort.
Thanks Weed let PASR know about tomorrow cause some are contemplating a trip tomorrow.
Will do! I'm heading back out on hill now. I'll be sure to post todays update as well as what our plan is tomorrow.

How is your future outlook at present?
Iffy, we'll know sooner than later about tomorrow. Beyond that is unpredictable.

Thanks for the info. PoconoOceanCity should be posting pictures soon. I wish I could have been up there for real time updates.
Weird morning to say the least. Had to round up guys to get some features in, deal with rain, and lower than expected people. The trail is interesting to say the least, quick drops, bumps, and fast.

Nice when heather was at Jack Frost/BB she was really good to the PASRs even made us a banner.
Heather is still here, she's head of Marketing still. PASR is a whole learning curve on my end. Not much was passed down to me on info about it but willing to learn and help as much as I can.
It's not much wider than the cat in most spots.

Who's in charge of the FB page. I was sad to see no updates today on FB
I run the JFBB Facebook and other social outlets. I work with our Terrain Director at Boulder on their social. It's a ribbon out there and being on the hill most of the morning through rain hasn't made photos easy.

Thanks looking forward to pictures. Why is it a downer morning?? You're open!!!
Bleh weather and not many people taking advantage of the snow. I normally am pretty on the ball with coverage but hasn't been much in the way of activity here at all.
-
That is really lame. Within minutes of blues opening there were tons of pictures. Maybe with Weedreemer in charge of marketing things will get better.
Haven't had a chance to sit down and get things posted. Quite frankly it wasn't anything spectacular at opening time, with a drizzle. I was helping dig some features in and haven't shot many pictures. Sorry about the lack of photos it's just been kind of a downer morning with not much going on. I'll be sure to post a better recap tonight. Not much activity.

Interesting that boulder isn't open. Why frost and not boulder?
I'm just curious as it seems like it takes less to get the football field open. Good job getting after it though!
Just happened to get a little more hours out of the snowmaking over at Frost.

Despite Mother Nature's relentless efforts this week to get our spirits down, we fought through it and will be opening tomorrow from 8am-4pm. We will have ONE trail and lift open. 'ONE Park' is the trail serviced by 'C Lift' with $25 lift tickets and $35 rentals. Beginner terrain will NOT be available and lessons are not being offered. Intermediate skill level and above only. Our cafeteria will be open as well as E2000 with live entertainment for anyone not on snow. Our operating schedule from tomorrow onwards is day to day so we cannot predict days out at this point. Thank you for understanding and we hope to see you on snow tomorrow!
We're working with what we have so if you're feeling that itch to get out tomorrow, it should be interesting. Catch up with me on hill tomorrow.

That's fantastic. Weed how is the snow holding up. Post some pictures.
These are all from yesterday. Currently raining and gross out here at the mountain so as much as I'd love to go venture outside and get soaked, my camera might not agree so much. It's holding up, it has receded in some places where it was thin such as blow over far from guns and piles as of this morning. The fog is the real killer.

When are you guys opening Jack Frost and reopening big Boulder?
With the forecast of rain all week I believe the plan is to let the snow be so it'll last longer and revaluate for next weekend and beyond. It comes down to worth being open and losing snow again for one day. If anything changes I'll be sure to keep you guys updated without a doubt.
-
We've got some big piles especially over at Frost, Freedom is looking good as well. I didn't venture up the slopes at Boulder but over at Frost I stepped in some areas away from the piles up to my thigh. Should hold up well though this less than stellar forecast of rain all week.
