  1. Haha, I remember seeing sled dogs for the first time. Those things were awsome. I mean, you can't take them super serious or anything, but I bet you could easily pull a 720 on those things with barely even hitting a jump. Oh man that'd be funny. I think I'll check ebay for a pair right now. Definently a good use of 30 dollars. :yes

  2. Definently. I'm waiting for the same stuff you are! :D

That's pretty cool that you've made some snow already. Did you use it for anything, or was it just a test run to see it on the ground? That's probably what we'll be doing in the very beginning. Maybe pelt each other with a couple snowballs. The usual. Awsome though.

  3. Anthony and I have finally put the finishing touches on the TWP Snow Maker 4! Its a combo gun with a huge custom stand Anthony and I built on Monday. Pictures are at www.bradsplace.org in the videos section.

Unfortunatly, the weather has not been very friendly of late, which is making us very angry. I have come to realize how increadibly wrong accuweather, and the weather channel are. It was suppose to down to 27 degrees on thanksgiving. I stayed up basically all night, and it never hit 32 degrees. Friday night the same thing happened, besides it barely went below 35. Anthony woke up a 3:00 and at 5:00 in the morning before school on monday and it was suppose to be 29 degrees by then. Big suprise, it was 37 degrees.

So in conclusion, the snow maker seems awsome, the weather does not. We're really hoping for some cold weather for snow and to open the local mountains. Lets hope they're right about the low of 21 for next friday!

Here's a quick preview, but better shots are on our site.

Oh yeah! And to everyone else on this board who has made a snowmaker (I know there's a couple), how's the weather been for you? Make anything yet? I read a post where someone made some early on, but then got a freeze up. Oh well that's the way it goes I guess. :)

  4. Accuweather has changed their forcast as of 9:30 sunday to nice cold temps on thursday and friday! Low of 25 and 21 I think?

Unfortunatly weather.com does not agree at this point. I really hope accuweather is right.

Oh yeah, just wanted to let you know that Weatherbug has adware in it, but if your joking or don't care than thats cool too.

  5. the spine looks like it isn't in the greatest position  side ways?!?!?

and if you wanted to get alot air off of it you would need to cut acroos the trail and you would land with a ski lif pole in you way right as you continue forward with speed

the reason that the half pipe looks wierd is b/c it isn't fully excavated

From what I can see, that spine is not a spine but a hip... which is really cool in my opinion, but if it really is a spine, its pretty gay. Actually if it really is eventually set up like a spine, everyone will just hip it anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter.

I'm interested in the pics of the rails too Jibophonic.

  6. Shawnee is finally putting up pictures of their park and rails. Some of it actually doesn't look half bad! http://shawneemt.com/parkpipe/contpics.html

It's hard to get a good picture of the scale of some of the jumps though, but I'm imagining they are pretty big, juding by the bobcat in the picture.

It's also increadibly hard to tell what's going on in the halfpipe picture. I think maybe its only like 2 feet high right now, by looking at the cone. I don't know.

The new boxes and rails they got in look nice too. It'll be fun sliding across the some of those sweet boxes.

Maybe "You ski at Shawnee!", won't be an insult anymore...
