  1. I probably won't go, but yes, I have AWD and I got new tires on in October and I just waxed my board a week ago. I guess I will have to settle and just go tomorrow.
  2. So I wanted to go out to Bear tonight but I have never been out to Bear during bad weather. I really want to go because the mountain is going to bo so good to ride on. How does the area take care of the roads during abd weather, I know where I live back roads get ingnored. I take exit 45 off 78 and come that way, it's all back windy roads.
  3. The lever is what came off last weekend. He thinks it's all in his head because it's the same board that he used last year and he was able to do it last year and he didn't change anything on the board. He does have big feet, size 13.
  4. No, he does not skateboard. We were at Big Boulder two weekends ago and then we were at Bear on Saturday and we were doing the beginners trails. His board is fine, we just got them waxed and checked out before the season. I think it might be a binding thing because the adjusting part on the back of his bindings actually fell off on Saturday when we were at Bear, I do belive it's his left binding which would be his front foot. So, you think if he adjusts it so that he doesn't lean forward as much that it should correct itself?
  5. Ok, my husband and I started boarding last year and he was just starting to learn his turns last year at the end of the season. We went twice this year and he has complained that his board keeps leaning to one side I am not sure if it is to the right or left off hand and he can't do his turns. I am not having this issue. I was thinking maybe he was putting too much weight on one side and that is what is causing it. I wanted him to take it to the tune shop on Saturday when we were at Bear but he didn't want to. Could it be an issue where he needs to get something adjusted on his borad?
  6. Thanks for the response, I want to make sure that I am not going to hurt myself. Can you get lessons at Bear Creek that are move advanced?
  7. This might sound stupid, but what kind of skill level do you need to take the classes? I just started riding last year. I am interested in the classes but I only know basic stuff like stopping and turning.
  8. Thanks Ski, I would feel horrible if I knocked someone over, if it came down to me knocking someone over or hurting myself, I would rather do something to hurt myself then someone else. I felt bad when I got to close to someone when I was first learning last year.
  9. I started snowboarding last year and I know how to do all the basic stuff, turn, stop and stuff like that, does anyone know if it would be a good idea to head out to Big Boulder just to try and get my feet wet again??? I really want to get out and start the season but I don't want to waste the day because I don't do the rails and jumps. Thanks
