I only ran panasonic tapes through out it's whole life and never captured with this thing at all, I never ran into problems and still runs very strong only reason I'm selling is to get into HD, the Lens when i bough claimed to have a scratch but i've been filming with it for about four months and i can say i don't even know where the scratch is. cheapest ones are, rental poles, just jack them shits, or just find random ones laying around your probably eventually find your size anyways
