Pizza Wedge

Pizza Wedge (2/10)

  1. Nick, regardless of who they have as a park manager next year, It all comes down to the park crew. If the crew is lazy and would rather hang out in the shop or ski or ride on their shift then the park will be the same. It takes alot of dedication and hard work by the whole crew to put together a nice park. You can't have three guys who really want to work and eleven who won't strap out of their bindings to do maintainence on the park. As part of the park crew you share responsibility for the park's success as well as it's shortcomings. It could be real good as you stated, but your park crew will determine that.
  2. ok this is what's going on Saturday. We are putting out our 100 foot handrail and seeing who can make it the farthest down it. We are also having a big air event on the table next to the 22 foot half pipe. We'll have an area at the bottom of the pipe fenced off with a barb-b-q (dogs and burgers) and music. Registration is from 11 to 12 in the main lodge. The fee is $25.00 which includes the contest, a twilight lift ticket, and the barb-b-q. You must sign our waiver to enter and anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian's signaure. The event will run from 1 to 5 pm. Thanks for your support this season, Mike
  3. Corey, sorry to inform you but there is no St. Paddy's Jam. We are going to be doing an event in the terrain park the following Saturday. I will have more info about the event for you Thursday, at the very latest Friday. Mike
  4. the purse is $10,000 spread out over six stops. It equates to not alot of money for the winners per stop but the actual prize is that the top 15 riders of the tour are invited to the grand prix events next year. This tour is a must for any amatuer trying to take the next step. This tour's registration filled up within 45 minutes of opening registration in November. It's a ussa and fis sanctioned event.
  5. we used our park monkey to spray salt on the sunny side of the pipe to keep it from getting soft, that's what the prints were from (you couldn't shoot that side from the deck because of it's size). after the pic our park staff did a reverse v on the bottom and cleaned out the tracks.
  6. the planet guys were getting about 6 feet out, a couple of our park guys were airing off the top and Mark Spiecher was absolutely shredding it.
  7. the 22 foot pipe was recut this afternoon and the weather was picture perfect.
  8. everyone gets the velcro band. No sticker's on the pass.
  9. The band is yours to keep and is good for the whole season.
  10. It fits outside your coat.
  11. The park pass will be enforced starting Sunday. The program is free and you will be issued a wrist band that must be worn to use our terrain park on Spike. The whole program is run out of the ski patrol chalet located at the top of the mountain. The chalet is directly across from the big terrain park. You will see the signs posted on the chalet deck. The movie is about 13 minutes. The whole process should only take 20 minutes. During the week the pass program will be run based on demand. If you come to the mountain during the week and would like to get your pass please go to skier services so they can radio someone from the terrain park to get you setup. During this week to help get your pass early we are running the video at 6:00 pm and 7:30pm Wednesday thru Friday. If you are under 18 the waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian. You will not be able to participate in the program without the waiver being signed. You can download the waiver at our website Snomtn.com. Mike
  12. you can use any of the features just remember that you are scored on technical difficulty. The contest is going to be in Jam format, if you are happy with your first run stick with it. If not you can get as many runs as possible during the time frame of your age group. flat copings, the ride ons will have pop to them as well as the gapped rails. Our park crew will be working the event and keeping things in good shape. I wouldn't count on just three girls competing. The day of the contest should have a pretty decent walk up.
