  1. Yeah, I discovered CB google reviews today ;) A much better read than FB.

Whoever wrote the above is probably hyperventilating now and is over exaggerating in every other sentence, but the general mood of other reviewers is about same.

Want to park closer? Pay $50 over $10. Or take the shuttle.

Came on a snow day to ski? Ah, chill in a single open lift line a little.

Wanna go tubing with a family? Half a grand for four runs down.

  2. Guess the mountain from the review:

Don't go if you care about getting / spreading covid!! After paying 130 for lift tickets, you get the pleasure of paying 10 dollars to park and either get on the covid filled shuttle or hike for 2 miles. Then, you get to navigate an extremely crowded entrance where no one wears masks or maintains 6 feet. Next, you get to wait in a 45-60 minute lift line.... Every. Single. Lift. Super fun! But not only is it an hour lift line, NO ONE wears masks. There was not a single person enforcing masking wearing, to the point that I had to ask people standing directly next to me in that hour lift line to put a mask on (AND MANY REFUSED). We had to leave early we felt so unsafe. The place is a disgrace.

  3. Damn, these people suck!

Their financial skills are non-existent. Marketing must be a bunch of college dropouts. And they obviously can't read because otherwise they'd just take a peek here and would know right away that all this time they were leaving money on the table selling adult limited passes for $349.

Today was gorgeous. Started a little cold and cloudy, but as the day progressed, the clouds got blown away, and the afternoon ended up being sunny and nice.

I have to say that these guys are in no hurry starting their lifts on a weekday. If last time everything was already running 45 mins ahead of opening time, today we didn't risk going down until about 20 mins before opening and still had to wait a few moments in front of gondola gates. They also had no intention to turn Tomahawk lift on, as it became evident from the posted open lift/trail reports. But I guess, the crowds kind of anticipated this unorganized shit, and probably drove to Hunter or Poconos because we encountered no lines anywhere except the gondola by late morning.

Some disappointment came from the state of the snow. While trails below the Overlook Lodge were something that we're very used to skiing after a period of rain and freeze and welcome with open arms, the trails above the lodge felt like stupid western groomers, which no way belonged to the East coast! If I wanted to ski THAT, I'd board a plane like Salty, but thanks, no thanks, it's Covid time.

All in all, I absolutely hate this place. Skiing open to close, absolutely stuck with no excuse to leave, no crowds pushing, no sugar piling, I still feel high from the wintery air and if this grows into addiction, I'll certainly be fired from my job because it now becomes a huge ordeal and takes the entire day, skiing that is.

That’s what I was saying weeks ago.  I really hope blue saw my posts and raised their season pass price accordingly.

If you have extra dough, why not just be spreading it from the six-pack? Do it daily around noon time, and crowds  will love you 😍

My biggest gripe is a 40% increase and they still can’t groom as well as every other PA mountain and don’t open the lifts or implement line management fast enough. They’ve shown nothing this season to earn this.

Which is absolutely true. I remember the opening day when freshly blown Main Street was just a side to side cookie field. Then quad sitting idle while lines at 6-pack growing and growing. Finally this middle of the week Burma/Vista nonsense with Main Street lines overflowing. They're not just slow starting lifts at times, they don't start them at all. Why bother if people will swallow it either way. And for the same reason forget discounts for existing passholders. We're happy to be hooked and reeled.

That’s the hope!!!  I think $600 is the perfect equilibrium. 40% more and they may sell 10-20% fewer passes.  They’re smart for once.  That’s my boy Blue and TP4 is right doesn’t make any difference for six figure people or trust funders.

Well, who do you think is flooding BM every weekend if not six figure people from NYC/NJ? By your own words they won't care, so here's to the hope that the crowds will thin.

  7. Now they simply take advantage of the pandemic and the restrictions that they themselves have put up. I won't be surprised if after spending the entire season in the stupid online waiting room, gambling with weather, dealing with almost a black market on FB trying to get a ticket for sold out weekends, people will prefer to swallow the new season pass price to never have to go and reserve tickets at "discounted rates" weeks in advance again. So marketing may in fact be doing its job quite right, but this substantial increase still feels like a slap in the face. Damn!

They're gonna have to expand the mountain, like in those top secret plans, to handle the additional demand. Since they're making bank this year it shouldn't be too much trouble for them...

I actually wonder, if Covid year turned out to be more profitable for them than past years. The reservation system looks more of smoke and mirrors than a working tool to limit crowds. New 4-hour and 8-hour tickets, the latter being $109 on weekends unless you buy almost a month in advance. People having more time on their hands to actually come and ski. All Pocono discount cards cancelled. Even weather turned to their advantage, hardly anybody remembers to check snowmaking pools these days.

Can't wait for next year season pass prices. I'm sure, the dividends will be huuuuge!

He apologized and I said well pull up your mask which he did..was a silent lift ride..chute had newly seeded bumps...so at the top as we were about to unload he said,”if you want I can send you my info” and I said Huh what are you talking about.  He said for contact tracing.  I was more confused and stunned to even respond...another fucking Eaf who thinks every chair should be filled like it’s 2019...even in past times typically somebody would say are you a single or do you mind if I ride up with you...

Relaaaax, he was obviously more aware than you're, and it was a mistake, and he probably suffered way more in the end.

Worst crowds ever today, everybody just gone mad. Kudos to Blue for having all lifts operational, but I don't see things getting any better during the upcoming week knowing how they like keeping Burma and Vista lifts down and how rain's coming the week after. I'll reroute to Belleayre next Wed. Gotta make that ORDA card pay for itself, LOL.
