Pizza Wedge

Pizza Wedge (2/10)

  1. no doubt beautiful, and when it's that well built, all it takes is roughly 15 minutes of "polishing" the takeoff and maybe fixing up the landing a few times a week and it would look brand new everyday.
  2. was he steven larrick? i dont know nipples real name, haha.
  3. ahh, i didn't make it up cuz stuff got in the way this weekend. Oh well, I'll be there tomorow (friday) so I dunno I'll see how it is. And its the first time they've had west side/the jbar open in a while, ahhhh the endless laps. and for anyone who hasnt seen it, heres a vid from the parkrat site. http://www.parkratfilms.com/files/libQPcomp.mov
  4. sunday, february 27. apparently, they have it up already, they are claiming it is 14 feet. i haven't been there lately though, so i dont have specific details.
  5. guys, liberty has just announced that for the third out of 3 ultimate rider contests, it is going to be a quarterpipe contest. that is sooo intense. they are going to bring out a pipe cutter and everything. and for the post that said that they are in need of snow, they have taken all things out of the park (except jumps) and have been blowing snow like mad. anyways, i am sure that this will be quite an event to attend, and anyways post your opinions etc.
  6. yes buttpads! i rock the r.e.d. ones. They work soooo well, i have fallen extremely hard on my ass and i have never had a sore butt after the fall, ever with them. without them i can be sore for days. plus, they arent that noticable(atleast i dont think they are ) and about the neon, i dont really care, the "in" thing at liberty nowadays is matching pants/jacket patterns/colors.
  7. yea it was tight, but near the end of the day some little kids started using it as a quarter pipe and flattened the lip.. ... but the tightest part about it is that it starts like 4 feet wide, then at the top its like 4 inches, then it re-widens to 4 feet.
  8. hmmm... this one day i was at liberty with my friend, it was a slushy spring day so the park was realllyyy sweet. before i went with him i was too afraid to even rollover the takeoff of this 15 foot table, and by the end of the day i had cleared a 35 footer. such a sick day, just cuz i finally grew some balls and progressed a ton.
  9. hey guys, i was at whistler dec. 24- jan. 1st. basically, when i got there, there was no snow ANYWHERE on the base, except for 1 trail that led to the bottom that was really grainy. I went up the next day on whistler, up to the roundhouse lodge. on the way up it was raining, i was really disapointed. But when i got off the lift it was snowing! (pretty hard) It was such a good feeling. So believe it when people say that it rains on the bottom and snows at the top. It was like this for two days, then it started dumping at the base. It just kept getting better and better. I rode blackcomb the last three days, it was pretty tight. 7th heaven was reallly rocky, but if you went a tiny bit off trail, you could find sweet pow stashes. On the 2 days, it would snow overnight, and then be blue skys during the day. I bought a pass to the highest level terrain park. That was definetly worth it, cuz there was a. bigger jumps, b. NO crowds at all, and c. excellently maintained stuff. The jumps were the best cuz the takeoff would be packed down like they should be, and the landings would be powdery. anyways, it was a fun trip, i learned 360's and frontside tailslides, but i dunno, its just not the kinda place i would want to spend a season at, yah know?
  10. heck yes it is! naw, just kiddin its actually this: it may not look that big in the pic, but its actually on a 10 foot mound of snow, then the rainbow rail
  11. the rainbow they just put in at liberty is the best rail i've ever done... at the top of it you're like 20 feet off the ground and its such a tight feeling especially the first time you do it. my ideal rail would be like, a kicker that sent you like...15 feet in the air... and at the peak of the jump you would hit like a 5 foot long, 1 foot wide box that was raised up on a groomer or something, then you'd slide off into a super smooth transition. That would be heaven.
  12. nah, there was just two skiers filming for park rats.
  13. hey papa, i can see where you're coming from and why this is such a big deal for you/him. nextxsnow is, problably, the biggest competition you can go to as a kid. but seriously, if nips doesnt really like training for racing and moguls, i say let him, and have him just do his best when it comes time. this may not be the same for skiing, but in snowboarding NONE of the pros do park/pipe and racing. they do either/or kinda thing. obviously thats not an option for this comp, but in the long run, i doubt nips is gonna want to compete in JUST racing stuff, so i wouldnt make that big a deal about it now. i hope you get what i'm saying
  14. ok, so i went up to liberty yesterday(monday) and this is how it was FreeRiding Basically, all the snow was manmade, so totally grainy, and if you stepped 1 foot off the trails you would be in dry grass. If you don't like park, do not waste your money and come here. Park Ok, this is where liberty totally kicks ass. Totally new setup as of Sunday, all new rails, with exception of the crappy ones on adventure alley. The adventure alley line was: flat box (5 feet) butter box (10 feet, 4 feet wide) Vertigo was amazing though, all extremely well maintained. The line was like this. 20 foot tabletop then either: flat box-down box gap thing about 20 feet altogether, or up-flat box (15 feet) then you could hit: left-side c-box, 7 feet, right side c-box, 10 feet, or 10 foot rainbow, which was already on like 7 feet of snow, so when you were on top of it you were wayyyy high up. the rainbow started out like 4 feet wide, then at the tippy top was like 4 inches wide, then re-wided back to like 4 feet at the end. realllly tight set-up, i was hiking it all day with two skiers from park rats and then other liberty dudes. video: http://www.powow.com/hstove/liberty%201-16Super_Setti002.mov i was the guy (hank stoever) in the white jacket and pants, with orange helmet.
  15. congrats to nipples, hopefully i'll be seeing you in killington too after the liberty qualifyer. how was the competition? did they send a skier and snowboarder or what?
