I did not know about the kid who fell off of the quad. I did hear an update on the kid that fell off of the triple last weekend though. He stress fractured his spine but will recover how many people are falling off the lift there?

i was just up at whiteface 9/1 till 9/3. i saw them getting ready for the snowboardcross. it crazy to think someone died where i was just skiing at looks like the Boreen Trail if it was the upper boreen is a blue trail. if its just the boreen its only a green. ive skied the blues and the greens there they are not that hard even with special features how can something like this happen?

how was the snow today? are there any big brown spots on the trails?

when did this happen? how old was the kid? it happened on the quad? how did they know he was hanging?

i just called up BC and they said that NASTAR is done for the season there can anyone else verify this?

my son (Kyle) will be running nastar. it would be cool to hook up and see some of you guys up there. i wear black pants and gray and purple jacket.

is anyone going up to hunter this sunday for the mini world cup? does anyone know anything about this race? under the rules and regulations is sayes that you dont have belong to NYSSRA OR USSA. and racers who compete in the J4 RVW or J3 cup events are not eligible for this series. does this mean that any child can race weather or not they belong to a race team?

I just got back from whiteface. it gets real windy!!! the wind blows the snow around and once the snow is blown off spots there is nothing but ice under it. big patches of ice. the slides were closed off this week again cause when they were open everyone flocked to ski them. they got really skied off and icy so they closed them down again. the blues are easy blues. my son skied the blacks and the trees. he did 2 nastar runs and got a gold medal there. my son also went up to the summit. with 25mph winds i didn't attempt to go up. they skied in snow that was up to my son knees. my brother who was skiing with him said it was like nothing he every skied in. great for the power whores. they say ski early and follow the sun. other then skiing we rode in the bobsled, went to the top of the ski jumps, saw the torch, took a plane ride over the high peeks, and you can see killington from the plane. we also rode toboggans onto lake mirror. went to the olympic training center, museum, skated on the speed skating circle, watch olympic hopefuls training on the ice where the usa won the gold medal, saw the womens skeleton team in the pizza place. it was such a great trip!!
