  1. Hope everyone is having fun so far. The snowmakers are working hard and we should be able to expand the freestyle terrain very soon.

Get out and enjoy some of the best early season conditions Camelback Mountain Resort has ever had!!

    -Will

I just want to say that Will is doing such an awesome job this year so far with CB. Sean, Nipples, Jesse and I were up there this past Friday and I was completely blown away with what was set up. I've skied Camelback plenty of times before and this is the first time I can honestly say I've had fun there. For all of you park riders with a bad taste in your mouth from Camelback in the past, give em another try and with the way Will is working I find it hard to believe that you'll be disappointed. I skied the best Camelback park I ever have on Friday and it was the first week in December. Every feature was set up really well. Big ups to will for hookin shit up at CB in the parks. Kid works hard. Any idea on when that edit's gonna be up Will?

  2. yeah idk why they would make the mistake of putting up the step down/step up box out for a rail jam, it limits you a lot as to what you can do on it. I would like to see the widest box they have so we can get back into the groove of things for a beginning of the year jam

if what missdem. said is going to be the setup i'm pretty stoked. I don't think that limits riders at all, but in fact gives you lots of options. and the widest box they have i think is the 420 box, and that thing is tooooo damn wide, and probably a bitch to move as well. just my 2 centos. i'm excited for friday.

oh and tom/andy, maybe you can comment on this...but i work til 6 on friday and i'll head over right from there, but what is registration going to be like? maybe it's listed in the details for the event, and i'll look, but is there a certain time i need to register by? and if i can't make it by said time, can i call and have you register me? haha

  3. If you love the boots, but your liners are packed out, get a set of Intuition liners. You'll need footbeds with these as well. They are on the pricey side, but well worth it.

liners are expensive, and you could most likely get a new boot for a little more than just the liners/footbeds. Intuition's arent any good unless you have someone mold them, and mold them right. tough call, but it might be easier just to pick up a new set of boots, or like toast and dan said, dial em in w/ some aftermarket fitting tools that your local shop could most likely help you out with.

  4. Line Chronic, K2 Extreme, Nordica Ignition, Salomon Suspect, etc...

I'd stick to skis like these as opposed to the prophets. The prophets are definitely more of an all mt ski. Like trevor said, they've got metal in em and metal has the potential to bend if you land wrong. Also like tre said, they're a little wide. There's much better skis for you than those. Chronics would be real sick, and now that salomon made an all wood core park ski, the suspects too. As far as other options go there's a huge list of good skis. Rossi Scratch FS/Squindo, K2 Silencer, Dynastar Troublemaker...goes on and on.

  5. Everything I see looks crushed and twisted like funhouse mirrors.

I stick to the first 5 hills at Jack Frost and don't go past Lehigh.

I can carve like the wind on open hills.

Its sort of like driving your car on a nice road that has rocks.

You don't stop the car to reach down and touch the rocks....you just drive the car.

Since I go every weekday I usually don't have anyone sharing any slope with me.

I don't do jumps or rail grinding. I just ride very fast and never fall.

I was a snowboard instructor for 5 years..... 12 years ago.... so that sort of makes me "old school".

    AND

    back to snowmaking.....

I met an engineer from NJ who makes snow in his backyard with home brewed snowguns.

Something to tinker around with here...

seems all it takes is a pressure washer and an air compressor... and 27 degree air.

    We have all that here.

what just happened?... i think i'd like 30 seconds of my life back after reading that.

anyway, thing's are gettin colder for sure. Hopefully Boulder gets open one of these upcoming weeks.

  6. If you are all squinty going down the hill, you need better goggles. If your eyes are comfortable, you are good to go.

I'd say if you're all squity going down the hill, you need glasses. unless of course you meant that you need darker lenses. In which case, an orange/persimmon tint is usually fine for around here as an all-around lens. We have night skiing and often times, flat light. You don't always need a very dark mirrored lens.

  7. why you always such a hater? oooh no theyre not dynastar they must suck and their warranty is probably sub par - at best.

    quit trippin fool

hahaha you quit trippin off backcountry features.

  8. i dont know i dont think tubing really needs the multi hits. i'd rather see them take all the snow and make 2 good single hits and make them good size. it would be better because it will be nice and wide. after all it is supposed to be the biggest hits bear has. you dont see boulder park with multi hits. if you like multi hits stay in black bear.

ding ding ding. If that's supposed to be their biggest/best jumpline/park i'd rather see them put more time/snow into one single take-off as opposed to two of different sizes sharing the same landing. Keep the medium and small stuff in the other park and leave lots of room for bigger, wider jumps in tubing.
