2) Closing because of rainBad snowmaking because of the old guns on some trails
BAD GROOMING!!! Word of advice, get some groomers that actually ski, and maybe they'll back off the throttle a little bit. Slower is better!
How can you bash their snowmaking, and their grooming after bashing them for closing because of rain?

lol she looks like she belongs in the snowtubing tent! gappper!
At least her pants are long enough.
Gapper gap doesn't just apply to your goggles.

I don't know you people so it really doesn't bother me,
Yet...
I'm done here.

Wow I totally missed this (i saw the thread about it, but never actually read it)
Ski Patrol follows the men and women who work the slopes in some of the most extreme environments in the country. As cameras follow their every move, these appealing men and women fight avalanches, perform daring rescues and keep their eyes on unruly mountain-goers looking to party on the slopes. It's high-altitude action, excitement and adventure everyday with Ski Patrol.Seriously, wtf?

Nick, yeah I know i'm always a dick to you and shit but honestly dude, if you live in boulder co, why do you waste your time reading on Pasr? (Im not saying you shouldent just...) honestly if i were you I would be riding every day and have no time for a computer. if you do live in co and i'm not just mistaken like if your away at school or something your really lucky...
Well to my knowledge this thread is the first time you've been a dick to me, unless I missed it in the past. To answer your questions:
-Yes I do in fact live in Boulder Colorado, there are many on here who can a test to that fact.
-I "waste" my time on here for a number of reason. First and foremost, because I know how hard it is to make the move west that many skiers/riders dream about making. I like to stay connected to my "home" so that I can help others that are interested in making a similar move. I've put people up in my extra room almost non stop since I've gotten out here, and I'm more then willing to do whatever I can to help my fellow east coaster. Second of all, this site was created because of a conversation that Greg (thinksnow) and I had many years ago. I'm one of the original 4 (Thinksnow, Atomic Jeff, SkiDude, and myself). We created the PASR you know and love today. I've long since stepped down from my moderation status due to many reasons (school, work, and the eventual plan of getting out here). I'm not out riding everyday because, I have a full time job. I love my job, I'm one of the blessed who got a job in the field they went to school for. I sit behind a computer all day, and when I need a break from looking at Adobe products and code this is one of my stops. So call that "wasting" time, but I look at it as time well spent.
Hope that sheds a little light on my situation for you, and quit being a Dick. I promise it won't benefit you on here.

Finally! I was actually thinking about doing this myself using the RSS feeds of each. Sorta looks like that is what they are doing. Anyway, awesome find!

nick, no shit
ohh and "fyi" global warming is a myth, obama is gonna die and... burton sucks (that was for you nick
)
Someone want to enlighten me as to when I pissed off this guy?
Ohh yeah and one of your ski instructors skied over my brand new snowboard while i was strapping up and didn't say a word, thanks.Probably because he thinks reverse camber is a scam as well.
I have to keep up my reputation of being the biggest flaming tool ever. We've all got dreams.

other than "The Office'' is based out of there
It is actually filmed in LA though, just an fyi.
They filmed a few shots of the opening credits there. Aside from that and referencing some of the local businesses/restaurants occasionally in the script, they never looked back.
-
I got lazy and never posted them on craigslist and apparently PASRs wouldn't know a good deal if it slapped them in the mouth and then posted in the Classifieds section.
No shit, that's because everyone here knows you can scoop those boards up for WAY cheaper at army navy.

Love this idea.....I heard Loveland got 80" or something in the last few days so stop holding out on us Ice Coasters and post some pics
They got about 40in between Thanksgiving and the Sunday after. Then about I'd guess like 20in between now and then (sorta lost track, since it was over quite a few days). I didn't have my camera with me while I was there Saturday. So the few pics you see are from the guys I was with and my iPhone. Jordan was there right after a big dump though I think. So maybe he has some pics around somewhere.
-
Damn, that trailer looked pretty sweet. I'll have to try and see that one way or another.
-
I'll commence complaining about FB photos on Saturday.
We all are eagerly awaiting your return. You swinging through Boulder on the way? Would be a good chance to check out the room you may spend a summer in.

It seems like every year the west gains yet another PASR member if not more then that. In addition, many PASRs still back east make trips out here. I figured rather then having countless TR threads from us out here we could just keep one thread going for the entire season. Here is what I'm thinking:
-Keep TRs short.
-Keep photos small to keep load time fast (the easiest way is to create a facebook album with your pics, and just link them in. FB resizes them for ya).
-Non Transplants can feel free to post short TRs/photos of their western trips. However, if you have a ton of pics or want to type a lengthy TR then start a new thread.
-No reason this can't be an active thread with lively discussion, etc. Let's keep this thread alive, and keep the stoke flying.
I'll start off:
12/07/2008 - Loveland, CO
Gwen's best friend from high school came out to visit over this past weekend with boyfriend and his brother in tow. They hit up Breckenridge on friday while I was at work. Saturday I took them up to Loveland thanks to Jordan who hooked us up with 20 dollar ticket coupons. I managed to find some waste deep powder way off to the skier's right side of lift 6. It was an epic day considering it is still "Pre Season". Loveland is rad, but if you are from the east it sucks... don't go there

Probably don't need a 158 if you're only 165, look for something low 150s, that'll help you out in the park department.
I wouldn't go any smaller then a 154. JMO.
He is pretty much the same size as me. I rode a 154 back east, and pretty much rode 60% trails 40% park. Anything smaller then 154 is going to be fun in the park, but not so fun for him everywhere else. I ride a 156 now that I'm out west, and I'm thinking about 158 for my next board, but I'm never in the park these days. Correct me if I'm mistaken on any of this, but I'm just basing this off what I ride/rode.
Army Navy FTW.

Zeal Optics
Screw changing lenses. Get a pair of Zeal Goggles, and they change for you. The only company to make polychromatic polarized lenses. They are also bomb proof. My buddy handed me a pair a few weeks back and told me to try and break them. Didn't even come close. I can get you 25% off. Let me know.
</plug>
Zeal Detonator PPX (Polarized Polychromatic) = $150.00 MSRP. @ 25% off They are $113.00.
In addition if you would have taken a look at the link I posted as well. You'd realize you can get free shipping. So again, who's the douche bag?
-
Just in case anyone else is interested in one of these EVO Gear has a 157 for 259, and you can get an additional 20% off with coupon code GOTIME until the end of the day. I'd already have bought it if I didn't need to save that money for my pass.

My dad has the Zeal goggles. I tried them on, and they don't fit at all. I asked my dad how they work in terms of transitions, and he said it doesn't actually transition. Not to mention, they are PRICEY.
Any other suggestions? What other lenses are there that are good for low light settings, but also good for very bright and sunny days?
Well that is like saying you tried on one Burton boot and don't like any of them. They have i think 3 different Men's specific models, and 1 or 2 unisex models. All with varying fit. His probably don't transition because he probably bought a pair without Polychromatic lenses in them. They aren't that expensive when you factor in buying another lens for another brand, and the fact that I can get you a discount.
But hey, suite yourself.

I can turn the board harder on my toe edge. I can manage terrain irregularities better on my heel. I dialed my high backs out of the equation a while back on DH's advice and liked it enough I never pushed them forward again. Forward lean helps for carving sure, but being able to stand directly over the board in any leg position is more important to me than doing well on groomers. Especially when I have functioning toe straps
Agreed. I think my high backs don't even come in contact with my boot unless i'm really cranking hard on my heel side edge.
What don't you like about the "new" Blue

Too totally different issues that both effect snow quality. Something you've never given 2 shits about. You're just pissed you couldn't mindlessly add vert on a rainy day. If that is why your upset admit it, don't bitch about other crap to justify it.
