  1. just browsed all the stuff in those articles, and nothing really stood out. just a lot of flashy colors on tech that has been out for some time now. also, why is everyone putting naked/half chicks on their gear? i mean, i have no problem with naked/half naked chicks, but just seems like everyone is putting so much effort into ugly colors, half nakedness, and looking ridiculous. just put out good product and let it speak for itself. i mean there wasn't one piece of outerwear in that article i'd actually wear. it all looked disgusting, but i guess i'm just getting old.

  2. Let me start out with a big "DAMN IT"!!! OK... now that that's out of my system... when I skied BC Saturday my goggles had condensation in between the lenses the whole time. It was there from the moment I took them out of the bag and got worse as the day went on. I switched with Bob and loved his Smith Fuzes so much I got myself a pair last night but I want to know if my cheapie Oakleys are salvageable or if I should trash the damn things. Thanks in advance.

Keep them around. May be good for costume parties or kinky sex.

  3. you are my hero a $150 bucks for like a 3 dollar toy lol i wish i had a time machine

Actually, it was probably about 25-30 cents when it was bought new back then. Thanks for reminding me about ebay. I have another pile of stuff to go up. I have 2 job leads right now, and one offer. So I may be heading out there real soon! Time to unload some more!!!!

  4. It seems to me that the "best" boots at the moment seem to be either 32's or Salomons depending on your foot shape. Does anyone recommend anywhere other than Nestors for the salomons, and can anyone from a local(ish) shop tell me what type and sizes they have in stock. I'm looking for a high end boot, either the F series, Malumutes or similar.

Also, anyone any experience with their "relay" binding? it looks like an interesting idea.

    Thanks

    32s, just get em.

  5. Salomon CR Johnson Lab Racing 1080 Twin Tip Skis

I have these listed on ebay for a buy it now of $300. If you're near Philly, I'll deliver for no charge.

Limited Edition Salomon Lab Racing skis are handmade and are much stronger than the regular skis with greater stability and steering precision. The teneighty C.R. Johnson Pro model Lab (Salomon Racing Team lab) twin tip skis are great for park, pipe, and all mountain.

These skis are Used and in Good Condition (7 out of 10). There are nicks and scrapes and a couple notches on the topsheets, but nothing structural affecting the performance of the skis. I recently bought these and they are not exactly what I was looking for.

One ski has scratches on the base (see pic), but they are not deep and do not affect the edge.

    Length: 180cm

    Dimensions: 113-79-106

Base: Special edition World Cup Racing Base

Marker Titanium Free 1200 Bindings (In fantastic condition!)

These skis are handmade, stiffer and faster than regular Salomon 1080s, with World Cup Racing bases.

I am not certain, but believe these are mounted for about a size 26 boot. Again, I am not totally sure. My 25.5 boots seem just a little too small for a good fit. You should be able to adjust without remounting for a close size boot.

I am not interested in these, but you'd prolly have better luck supplying the url to the eBay sale, and perhaps the pics you are referring to in your post.

  6. They are longer than snow blades for instance, but are still really short. So I would imagine that they would do fine in the pipe. Anyone else have any opinions?

My opinion... snow blades are freaking lame. Sorry, it was too easy. Ebay them sonsa bitches; all the tards on ebay will go crazy for them.

  7. I hear you on the more space thing Nick. However, if you're using the factory rack on the Subaru you might have some space issues width wise with the rocket box and other attachments. This was one of the bonuses of me settling with the space booster. I can fit a bike rack and the box on the factory crossbars just fine, and might even be able to squeeze two on there with the box too if I get creative. If you're using Thule/Yakima crossbars you should be fine cuz you get a ton more room with these, but just something the keep in mind.

Also, boxes are usually a little more plentiful in the New England area, and my parents live up by Worcestor, MA. As of now I'm planning on trying to visit them right after New Years, so if you see anything up there let me know and I could have a look at it for you and possibly bring it back.

Yea I've got Yakima's on my outback already. So I'm not too worried about space. Not sure what size bars I have, but they hang over each side by about 4-5inches. So they are fairly. I've also had my parent's Thule Cascade box up there with a a bike rack, and there was plenty of room. I wanted to buy my parents but they won't part with it.

I've got family up that way too. Thanks for the idea to look up that way. Might work out well since they have to come down for my graduation party in a few weeks.

  8. You might be better off renting a uhaul trailer.

Oh that day will come. I'm just trying to get myself, my gear, and my clothing out first. Then I'll eventually fly back home to fill a u haul with my furniture and what not. Have to find a place to live first.

No Hitch, and no plan to ruin my outbacks ground clearance by adding one... I'll just rent the u haul truck

  9. I found one on Craigslist almost brand new for under $200. Just keep your eye out. I originally wanted a rocket box but ended up with a space booster and have had more than ample room so far for my needs this season.

Yea i was looking at the spacebooster too, but i'm going to be cramming a lot more in there then just my snowboard. So I want to go as big as I can. I mean, my snowboard, kayak paddle, and tons of climbing gear needs to get stuffed up there. Not to mention whatever room is left over up there is going to get filled with clothing and other odds and ends. Trying to pick one up cheap so I can still pick up some hullraisers so my kayak can sit next to the box. Thankfully i have a bike rack i can mount on the back of my car, otherwise my roof was going to end up quite crowded.

I checked all the PA craigslits with no luck. Think i might check out jersey and deleware next. i just hate searching on there since you have to search in each area.

  10. Anyone have a Yakima Rocketbox they are looking to get rid of? Or know anyone with one they want to unload. Need to increase my storage space for the drive to CO. I'd be willing to look at Thule's or other brands, as long as they have similar storage capacity. Let me know! thanks!

  11. just got back from elk. got there this morning for opening and was on the slopes until about 330. Stopped at a friends on the way home for some grub and a movie, and then headed home. the conditions were absolutely excellent. A real treat after riding bear creek last night. most of the closed trails that you could see from the lifts probably could have been opened, but they were not groomed yet. seems like they should be damn near 100% in the next week or so. Actually i know they will cause my buddy reed makes the snow, and he is the man!

  12. Wow the Bullwinkle Pez dispenser is up to 34 bucks..

That thing will probably end up being my most profitable sell of the bunch. The last one that sold on there went for like 60. It's from the 50s-60s and pez collectors (like myself) take it very seriously. i'm only selling it because i have another one.

  13. He is selling a cannon!?!?!?!?! DIBS!!!!! I'm tryin to put some holes in things for real cousin!

Haha, when I read his post I thought the same thing. Then scrolled down and started laughing my ass off.

It is Canon. BTW: Let me know if you win the auction for it, and I can probably meet you at Blue/Bear instead of charging you shipping.

  14. I'll be moving to Colorado in the next few months. I have my resume and portfolio out to a number of places out there. So I'm trying to make sure I'm ready to go when they call me. With that being said, I am cleaning out my closets and trying to raise some funds in the process. Here is the first round of stuff. This was all ebayed since none of it was ski/ride gear related. However, if I come across any of that stuff you will all have first dibs. I thought I'd post these auctions though in case anyone was interested. Let me know if you win anything. IF you do I may be able to meet you and save you a few bucks on shipping.

    PS2 DVD Remote

Bullwinkle Pez Dispenser Yellow Stem, No Feet

94 Fleer Ultra Xmen Full Set + Extras

    Barry Sanders 8x10 Autograph

Sega Saturn Game Console, Games, & Accessories

Sega Game Gear Hand held Gaming System, Games, & Accessories

Canon EOS Rebel Ti 35mm Camera With Lens and Extras

Handspring Visor Deluxe Palm Pilot +Extras

Sony NetMD Minidisc Player/Recorder + Extras

There is no reserve on any of the above auctions because I just need to get rid of the stuff. I also have a like 2X3ft glossy Troy Aikman Autograph around here somewhere that I really don't want to have to ship. So if there are any Cowboys fans out there (No I'm not, I actually hate football. I'm just a pack rat and inherited it a few years ago), make me an offer.

I'll update this thread as I ebay more, I have a ton of hockey gear in the next round. Thanks for looking!
