  1. when someone gets back today let me know how the conditions were.... i don't know if it rained up there last night.
  2. the way that Doug siad is the way i've been going... it feels longer because your on the turnike more but in the long run it's faster, especially when 145 is backed up... i don't know if anyonme takes 22, but that sucks too w/ all the merge on's. Mahoning valley is defenitley the way.
  3. yeah i know what formica is now... i remember we used it when we built a bar in our house. i remember you could get the scraps at home depot. thanks, i'll let you know how it worked out. it's gonna be really sh*tty w/ like wood chips flying off every time i hit it or good... we'll see.
  4. Elk is the way to go if you want anything close to VT riding, but they don't have high speed quads and the lift lines get pretty long on the weekends . I would say go to Jack Frost, it's not just the mountain, but the whole Lake Harmony / Big Bass area has more to do and probably better for a vacation since it is more of a resort area then the others mentioned. don't go to Spring Mountain, not especially if you are talking about "glades" or steeps.... I love Blue though...
  5. Thanks.. I can get Formica at a Home Depot?
  6. I wanna build a box for my back yard. what is the material used for the top? is that metal or some type of hard plastic...? does anyone think regular sheet metal would work to slide on?
  7. I just got back.. it was CROWDED! all they had was the quad going on the lower side and then finally turned the other lift on. they didn't get as much snow as i thought they would but it looked way better then it did on thursday... if anyone likes riding up the walls on the right side of lazy mile, they're back. the upper park was looking good, it wasn't an ice field. it was getting more crowded and really windy right before i left and i was gettin pist because everytime i would go for something it seemed like someone knew and would chill right by the hit or the downside . anyway.. conditions are looking much better, Challange had a bunch of moguls at the top for you skiers and Razors was fast and fun.
  8. Yeah, i sprained my wrist on that battleship box last night. i haven't wore a helmet in 7 years and just bought one last week... perfect timing because i'd probably still be laying there. what does anyone think the odds are of the park crew throwing in a flat to down picnic table set up? they're fun to session....
  9. Nice! yeah, it was hurtin' last night. but if the weather forecast is right, Sunday and Monday should be fun! Glad to see winter is making a comeback!
  10. hey, did anyone ski today? How was the conditions? i was thinking of heading over tonight after work but want to know if the walls on the right side of Lazy Mile is still bear like it was last week.. if anyone took a run down there let me know. thanx
