Bobert540 Posted December 25, 2008 Report Share Posted December 25, 2008 I apologize for this being a little late. I went up to Elk for the first time and I had a wonderful experience. The day was perfect. Temps were in the mid to upper teens so the snow held up great all day. The slopes were empty, it was like we had the whole place to ourselves. As an elk first timer the thing that impressed me the most, which is cheesy, is the prices of the food in the cafeteria. I guess they go hand in hand with the throwback lodge, which was pretty sweet as well. Unfortunately I forgot my camera but I am sure I will be back there again. I wish it was closer but I like to think that the longer drive helps keep the crowds away. I'll definitely be up there at least once this year, hopefully more though.
