skier150 Posted January 26, 2013 Report Share Posted January 26, 2013 Shawnee Mountain now has a training program for skiers who are looking to learn park, or get ready to compete. The full program lasts for 10 weeks on Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM, and started on 1/5/13, however the 5 week program will be starting on 2/9/13. Right now it is only open to teens and children, but adult training is available with sufficient demand. Applicants must be solid skiers and be able to ski all of the trails at Shawnee under control with no wedging. skier150 Posted March 6, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 6, 2013 The 12/13 season is starting to wrap up, but things are already being planned for 13/14. A traveling competition team is being formed for next season that will compete at around 10 events.
