Ski Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 The women raced slalom today in Levi, Finland; Bode and Ligety go at it tomorrow. Women's results: http://www.fis-ski.com/uk/604/610.html?sec...mp;raceid=47799
ColoradoHigh Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 Is it live? Or is their a delay? What channel are they showing it on? I want to watch it, but I never knew about till now. Thanks Ski!
skidude Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 I don't think they are allowed to show life FIS races..some rule somewhere or other. You can watch the results streaming on some websites, which aren't delayed much. U.S. Only had one in the top 10
skidude Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 nope....There aren't many ski races on TV...Fewer and fewer every year...
ColoradoHigh Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 nope....There aren't many ski races on TV...Fewer and fewer every year... DAMN NBA and NASCAR! I want to see ski races! Not cars going in circles I thought Versus had ski races on?
Ski Posted November 12, 2006 Author Report Posted November 12, 2006 Bullriding replaced ski racing in America. If Bode had slept instead of partying and hadn't gone 0-5 at Torino, maybe OLN would have had some insentive to contract for coverage. Bode has burned too many sponsors for anyone to take a major risk with him. This is some of the fallout of Bode's Olympic choke.
ColoradoHigh Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 Wait I thought we like Bode her at PASR,,,, I. Don't. Get. It.
Ski Posted November 12, 2006 Author Report Posted November 12, 2006 Now you know why drinking is bad. It looks like Versus (OLN) will carry one race on Sundays, starting at the end of this month. Better than nothing. Not much, though...
librider Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 Men's RESULTS from today Why isnt bode on the list? Did he not go yet?
skidude Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 Why isnt bode on the list? Did he not go yet? He was 47th after the first run. In FIS/World Cup races, you have to be Top 30 in GS races to get a second run. Then they run the second run in order from slowest to fastest (30,29...2,1). U.S. didn't have a great showing either day...Best finishes for women was 10th, and for men, 15th.
Ski Posted November 12, 2006 Author Report Posted November 12, 2006 Bode was 2 seconds behind Raich after the first run. I wonder if he still plans to start his own race series...
