I didn’t even go in the upper lodge all last season. I was telling people that the new lift setup, likely means less business for the upper lodge retail and dining establishments.

Rumor has it that the paved section in the top lot will be "preferred" parking.  AKA paid parking.

Kind of reminiscent of last year.  I think they just need to keep working on what they started.
the 10 day doesnt look great, after friday, but that can change.

    agree.

Last year the two weeks after opening were only weekends.

They were going full force for only about an hour last evening.  Then they had to do a total shutdown because a main broke at the burma/widowmaker intersection.  They repaired it through the night digging and welding and fired back up whenever GSS noticed this morning.  Should be all systems go from tonight on out barring anymore big problems.

    Insider knowledge??

I think snowmaking starts Sunday evening...

I would like to claim that snowmaking did start Sunday evening...

I am still saying that we are skiing THIS weekend.

i agree with that.  weather, weatherbug, and accuweather all agree on one thing.  Non-frozen precipitation on Tuesday, and as of right now, a significant amount,

I think it is all about net positive gains here.  If they make snow and lose some, as long as there is still snow left on the ground they are ahead of schedule.

I also think that they have proven that they are willing to take a little risk and be aggressive with snowmaking based off of last year.
