A source close to the management of JFBB, speaking on condition of anonymity, has revealed that JFBB and Peak Resorts are close to signing a deal with jordan for exclusive use of his homemade snow guns. JFBB has long been known for its advanced snowmaking system and top level snowmaking staff, but adding this state-of-the-art technology will undoubtedly give them a huge advantage over the other Pocono resorts. What is unclear at this point is whether the agreement will also include expert training from jordan himself. While JFBB has had much success under Peak Resorts, hiring the nation's leading authority on all things snow related could be a little too pricey. One thing is certain. The addition of jordan's backyard guns will enable Boulder Park to open no later than tomorrow morning. This news comes on the heals of an announcement by John Deere that it has partnered with jordan to develop a line of compact, gasoline powered groomers. Stay tuned to PASR news for updates.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that no snow will be made tonight. Seriously speaking, Wednesday is very iffy at best. Thursday night begins a period of several potentially good nights. Depending on a few variables, you might even see day time snowmaking on Saturday. Keep your fingers crossed, do the happy time snow dance, and don't piss off the snow gods. GSS might get to make some turns this weekend!

I'm not saying that BB and that alone had an inversion. The whole region had an inversion. Jim Thorpe at the bottom of this area had colder temps than BB. When you live in PA all you have to be excited about are the snow quality, grooming, and some tree skiing at JF. Don't hate because I enjoy what I've got. If I lived in CO I could get excited about all the sweet pow and go talk about it on CASR instead of trolling the boards of the lowly easterners.

LOL. You guys are so cute. Who among you has ever made snow, built snow guns, or ever done anything with snow other than ski on it and make a snowman.

Ok I lied. I can't give up. One night at 20 degrees isn't enough. If it would have been cold enough to make snow to get open for the weekend they would have done so. There was also an inversion which means it's colder at lower elevations. They only make snow if they can get open...not for marketing purposes.
