1. The PASR Elk day was the highlight of last season for me. Sure I got freaking wrecked at the end but it was such a great day and such a good time.

So far my spring / summer has been good. Had fun in Mexico and Assateague.....busy at work and a lot of changes going on with more coming.
Nothing to complain about....my post was reality talk, not depression based.

I'm in a pretty good place there.
Hoping to get the kayak out soon, Florida road trip with my two younger kids end of July.

2. But maybe it’s more fun having the struggle and getting your ass kicked by the mountain than not doing it at all?

Your welcome to come on any trip with me.

Eventually that may be what has to happen.
I'm still holding out hope that something mentally will click for me and I'll be able do something with myself.
I could get to the point where I just need to make a trip before I won't be able to at all.

I'm fully aware that my time on this planet will not be very long if I can't get my shit together.

3. My only regret is not not going to the hot springs when I was there.phillycore was down too. Should've went. Read so many good things about it since that trip. Anyway...Steamboat was fun but don't necessarily see myself going again anytime soon either. Lots of other places that I've yet to visit or want to visit again.

Strawberry park hot springs is a great place.
I enjoy steamboat a lot.
Than again..... I also enjoy cranking down a wide open paradise more so than just pointing down razors so take it for what it's worth.

4. Schifdawg, make sure you get in the best shape you can leading up to the trip.  I always notice it kicks my ass way more when I'm not in my best shape.  Spending $$$ on a trip and then feeling like shit or missing out because you're out of shape sucks big time!

This is exactly why I haven't been out west in a long time.
It's not fun when you're struggling with yourself.
It's fucking awesome when you're not.

5. Maybe on raspberry lemonade beer

The last Raspberry Lemonade beer I remember having was a
Leiney Lemon-berry shandy.
I haven't seen one of those in years.
It was quite a tasty beverage.
I believe Root was mixing his own even prior to Leinenkugals releasing it, and it was a favorite of JFskiDan's there until it became impossible to find.
Maybe discontinued?
This is going back a few years now.

6. Last season I logged 1,021 runs, which is probably a record on this forum, thanks to the short runs at Camelback.

I highly doubt that would be a record.
Maybe a "logged record" on here though.
I can pretty much guarantee that JF Dan, Ridge, and I have all topped that skiing an avg of 6 hours at Frost each weekend years ago.
It's really easy to rack up runs there and boulder.....lol
There was a time when I thought you could equal the amount of time skiing vs waiting in line at Jf to Blue (and you can but only at blues busiest hours)

7. I feel like I need to go to Camelback with you, since I've been the one who has introduced you to every other mountain you've visited.

I'm going to do my damndest to make it to cb on Sunday

8. How serious are you about this?

Not serious enough to do it as typed without a shit ton of alcohol.

Sans tassels the odds greatly increase.
Sans alcohol the odds greatly decrease

Doubtful as I wouldn't feel like driving home soaking wet or changing to drive home...

9. Buy the pass.  Oh, and BTW, you are going out west next year.
I do get the idea of waiting until next years pass comes out, but my god that is really a long time to not have one.  Before i had a season pass to JFBB, i skied like 2-3 times a year.  I hated shelling out window price.

I skied in Vt this season...without the drive.....so that's gotta count for something....lol

10. They use to do 10 ski day guarantee. I couldn’t find it with a quick search but I’ll look later. If you only go 7 days, you get 30% back.

Two seasons ago I only used my season pass twice in the beginning of the season.
It was completely on me.
I didn't / wouldn't have even asked if they had something like that.
We all know the risks in this sport, and in purchasing something in advance....
Win some..lose some...

11. I've been debating if it's cost effective for me this coming season or if I just buy daily tix until the following years pass comes out.
I'm also afraid that if I don't buy it now, that I'll say fuck it and just not go.
Having the pass is incentive to use it.
Not having one or being over the break even point sometimes makes me say...fuck waking up at 4:30am and getting there anytime after 10am on a weekend is pointless.

Day tripping around until the passes come out....doesn't really sound too bad either.
