  1. Native American burial grounds? I dunno, but there are all sorts of wierd mines up past the tubing park. A bunch of them were flooded too.

It's well known that there are Indian burial grounds not far off of the Timberline trail.

  2. it cant be before the 10th because training for like the mountain eatery is the 12th and training for instructors is for the 8th so my guess is the 14th unless they somehow move the training earlier

I've seen instructor training after the mountain has already opened

  3. I never stayed at the Grand...but I remember Sexkitten complaining...I stayed at the Val Roc inn by the Skyeship base on Route 4..and the Crank-Whore motel in East Rutland..near the McDonalds..lol

When ever we drive to Killington we go by the Val-Roc.I always wondered what it looked like inside.

We usually stay at Mountain green..I've never had any problems there and you can walk to the lift or hop on the shuttle.

I'm not into packing all my shit in the car and driving to the lift.

  4. I know a couple of people that have them from the first double chair they tore out.If I remember correctly we were able to buy them for $25-$30 bucks a chair.I think they sold out rather quick.

When they replaced the begginer double and the triple I don't think they offered any for sale.

If you do happen to get one...be sure you have a really strong place to mount it...They are way heavy!!

  6. I think there raising prices is a way to control the crowds....That sounds kinda fucked up but BC is only so big and people just keep coming. It get's way too crowded way too quick. So a way to keep the crowds down...raise the price....I'm waiting to see what the daily rates are..yikes

  7. But i dont know if they would do that cause they lost so much money from last year due to the short season and all the upgrades and now the addition onto the hotel. Maybe in a year or 2.

I don't think they took much of a hit in the wallet last year.It was a really busy short season.Plus they have money coming in all year.

  8. wat a suprise... we had a shytty year n the passes go up again:(

They did have a good year dispite the late start.......I think one reason prices went up was for crowd control.....I can't wait to see what daily rates are(ugh).I think if your going to ride there your best bet is to work there and get a free pass.

  9. I'm sorry to hear about his passing..I never understood his dislike of snowboarding....Blue was one of the last mountains to open up for boarding,,,I have some articals with him saying snowboarding is just a passing fad and he really did not want boarders at Blue Mt...I guess after he saw the money other mountains where bringing in he changed his mind...When they finally allowed boarding there,I didn't go there for years.....It was like all of the sudden your money is good now, come ride at Blue.I said F that.

Blue is a nice place to ride/ski and I thank him for making the mountain happen.

  10. Lite Ash Tele-

Made in Korea...Excellent build quality..... Two Seymour Duncan single coils...The only marks on it are pick scratches on the pickguard...

    72 Tele Custom-

Made in Mexico...Single coil in the bridge, humbucker in the neck...I replaced the high E tuner with a generic one I had laying around,(but no new holes had to be drilled)and it holds the string in tune just fine.....The only scratches are on the pick guard......

You can look them up at musiciansfriend.com or fender.com

  11. Up for sale:

  12. bear is opening an hour early... I think most people w/ a pass are people in school?? but did bear ever think people in school get 2 days to sleep in a week... don't know if i wanna waste my time at bear

Well Boo Hoo....Wait till you hit the real world.....What's so tough about waking up a little early....I really wish they would open at 7:30 every day

I agree with Sex Kitten....take what you can get.....Cause before you know it the season will be over and you be talking about all the good times there and jonesing for the next season to start.

  13. Thanks for all the tips....I have a friend that instructs at Big Sky so I'm hoping he can hook me up......Another buddy of mine instructs at the Yellowstone club....he's gonna try to get me some riding time there.I'm really psyched to check it out!!!!!!

  14. I've taken some of my younger students through the park on some busy days(always off to the side)just to show them how dangerous of a place it can be.I explain the what to do and what not to do in the park if they are just riding through. It also shows them how thoughtless and rude people can be in the park can be.

I agree that the park is no place to teach your child to ski/ride,but a lot of park riders have no clue about park manners.

  15. By my calculations 65 days puts you damn close to the 18th.I would really like to know how they came up with the 65 season.I've been riding there for a long time and the season usually runs from just before Christmas to the second or third week in March.
