  1. 100% correct about everything. They need a designated trail for just pipe and a northface run.
  2. ive been skiing with him for 4 years and have never seen him take anywhere near a serious fall
  3. i expect them to blow alot more snow to, but i don't think their expected date to open (wednesday) is going to happen
  4. yea i was today to, but i guess the other night it was windy so i couldnt get speed and just a tip, keep putting flat rails in the parks! there so fun, i was hiking the flat bar all day
  5. very short, i was looking at it last night and its not nearly long enough to be considered a superpipe. Supposedly its going to be open for wednesday, but we will see.
  6. they have 1 decent jump, but its impossible to get speed for it. If you want to hit jumps just go to boulder. Most likely worth the crowds
  7. wow you guys are retarded. I just said it was a little icy, i wasn't complaining, just saying how the conditions were. You all have to get your thumbs out of your asses and stop being little bitches about everything park rats say. how is that complaining?
  8. judging was pretty shitty. Out of the 4 kids in my age group, someone who wasn't in the group won? I didn't understand that
  9. in my opinion, i wouldn't even spend 10$ to ride the parks. today was the worst condition i've ever seen the parks in, and i've seen them pretty bad.
  10. Alright, well i was up at sno today and was EXTREMELY disappointed. The parks were a joke, and very poorly maintained. The 13' pipe was choppy and in desperate need of a cutting. You guys are putting all of your efforts into this 22' pipe and are ignoring the rest of the mountain. Don't get me wrong, i would love a 22' pipe but realistically its not going to bring in that many people. I would much rather a bunch of very well kept jibs and jumps than a 22' pipe that nobody will be able to ride except for a select few. Also, with a ton of new rails, why do you guys put up the least favorable. Everyone that I ride with would much rather some nice down rails and boxes than picnic tables and seperate boxes that are put together in a terrible fashion. Honestly, why do you resort to putting multiple boxes together when there are plenty of good ones in the boneyard. The jumps in both parks are so bad. On spike, the now only jump, is in the worst condition i've ever seen it in the past 2 seasons. It is impossible to get enough speed for it, especially since there is constantly uphill wind on Spike. And what do you call that mound of snow with a lip on mainline. No matter how slow you go, you overshoot it. I can honestly say that today was the only day i skied the north face all night. It was actually pretty good, but it was very icy in some spots from people snow plowing. Please put some effort into the rest of the mountain instead of putting 100% concentration on the pipe, which will only last so long, unless properly maintained (which i doubt it will be). A few decent rails would be nice, instead of the average picnic table and flat down box.
  11. will down rails still be in the setup?
  12. man if they are really taking down the 2 "biggest" jumps the park not gona be fun at all. Why not take the two smallest or just blow the extra snow?
  13. i was actually just going to post the same thread earlier.
  14. dont be mad just because you are an old guy that sits on his comp and argues with teenagers all day. i wish i could be just like you when i grow up, but sadly i will most likely have a good paying job and ski for fun, instead of doing "GNARLY CHINESE DOWNHILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and calling out kids that have some useful info about what goes on.
  15. I dont recall us saying we knew how to run a multi million dollar business, but apparently you dont either or else you would have millions of dollars. We only know what were talking about with parks. We state what needs to be done and you bitch that its fine the way it is and everything is perfect. Some people try and progress the mountains instead of being satisfied with the way they are now. notice how people who know anything about park agree with me. hmmmmmmm, coincidence? i think not. stop bitching in a park thread where you know nothing about what goes on. you dont see me on all the racing threads hating on you guys, so why treat the park rats like shit? and yes it does piss me off about how much they brag. considering im only here for 5 years i should be spending my hard earned cash somewhere worth going to while im in PA. Im sorry i dont have the rest of my life to ski in PA.
  16. i want sno to be good, but they just havent lived up to their claims. If it was a mountain that hadnt bragged so much right when they opened i wouldnt hate because they didnt say they were going to be the best. It just seems to me like the new owners have their business priorities straight. They cant decide weather to build a sick park, build a 22' pipe, or if they want to build a water park. If they knew it was going to take time then they shouldnt be claiming so hard season after season. Im only going to be skiing in PA for 5 more year and i would like a good park soon. Its not that hard to have a good park when you hire people that are completely dedicated to one mountain. Neptune is with multiple mountains across the US so he doesnt have his full attention on sno, which leads to the lack of quality in the park. If you dont have people to constantly maintain the 22' pipe then it could mean a lot of injuries. A pipe that big can really do some damage. My point is, i want sno to do good but they brag to much and dont pull through, leading to my hate
  17. sno has been saying they will have a great park from the start, i will believe a good park when i see one. Also the pipe will probably be rushed and end up shitty just like the 13'
  18. my bad, i meant to say sean is the only up and coming kid coming from sno. I know of a few kids coming from boulder
  19. thank you, finally someone who will agree with the pipe and the maintenance. but yea flat copings suck, he should make some round copings, they side so well.
  20. ski, you don't belong in threads that have something to do with a park or pipe because you have nothing intelligent to say. All you do on the park and pipe threads is hate on papsteeze, KyleA, or myself, all of whome have something to say that will in turn help sno mountain with their park. I'm sure you havent skied PC to its full extent if you live in PA. if they get a huge storm kyle is there right away, weather it be PC, Brighton, or Alta. I'm not saying i have, but i have had first tracks on the bowls dropping cliffs with 3 feet of fresh powder. I have been good about keeping shut about all of your hate but youre just an arrogant prick on these forums. Also dont talk shit on sean jordan because he is the only up and coming skier in PA right now.
  21. No offence to sno but i think they should have built a 22' pipe before buying in on such a big competition.
  22. the only reason im frustrated and impatient is because i have been so hyped about how good sno was gona be the past 2 seasons and ive been let down, i just want a good park soon or else im gona spend my 400$+ at boulder where i know i will have a great park everyday. I really want sno to be good and i hope they do become well known all over the country and the pros come in. If their plan is 5-10 years thought, i wont be in PA to see it considering i plan on being in Utah or Colorado for college in 5 years.
