Sheesh you’re getting restless.  When did you last work???

    I can't remember the last time I filled out a W-2. 80's most likely.

keep us updated.   would be cool as shit to have you posting grooming TR's in real time.  would certainly be a PASR first.  having a job where you have to interact with little to no people sounds incredible

:werdBlasting tunes and  smokin doobies. But i'm getting ahead of myself.

  3. 2% in VT. One of my biggest reservations about the pizza shop was getting good help. Current crew is dubious. Seven Days, a free newspaper out of Burlington (think City Paper in Philly if its still printed) had a front page about the shortage of workers in the F&B biz up here. I got bank approval for the money, but decided to hold off until the New Year. This is the slow time of year for them, why suck wind? Plus my offer is going to disappoint them since i have no interest in paying for good will. Philly house officially sold today, check's in the mail. :pimp:Hot tub and sauna are operational. Possibly snow in the higher elevations by Friday. Leaf peeping has about another 10 days left. Gained back some weight from late night pigging out on homemade apple pie and ice cream. And almond M&M's. Been eating them by the bushel. That's your up to date report from the Notch.

Nope and I’m still sporting my stupid air cast boot so couldn’t play in it anyway.

Bummer. My wife had toe surgery about a month ago and is still hobbling around in a plastic Herman munster bootcast for the foreseeable future. I think the northern rockies got some. Heal up fast!

You’re almost like an original homesteader.

I had to move my Sauna 6 ft to access the control panel on the spa. Ended up using the same technology they used to move rock for the pyramids and Stonehenge. Except I used PVC pipe instead of tree trunks to roll it.

You grow some pristine produce. I'm thinking you buy it at some organic farmers market and use it all as props to impress us. My 2 pot plants survived transplanting at the end of April despite near freezing temps into May. One is approaching 8' and the other one is about 6'. Since I wasn't around to maintain, it'll be below average yield. Parsely and rosemary survived. Basil died.

i have stone in one bed, and it seems like thats where i do the most weeding.

I have a stone bed out front with a round flower bed in the middle. I dump rock salt on the stones and it keeps the weeds out for 3 months or longer. Safer and cheaper than roundup.

  9. Days will start getting shorter next Friday, we're marking the event with Dead & Co at the BBT pavillion next Thursday night. Been super busy pimping the house and landscape for listing which should happen the 2nd week of July after some carpeting and flooring installation which I'm having done after we move out. We'll be pulling out of Philly July 4, spending the night at the Homewood suites in Newburgh and arriving in VT on the 5th. Got 2 guys to unload the truck on the 6th. What's that have to do with ski season? After I booked the Homewood reservation (Hilton property) they wrangled me into their Points program and I got 4 days, 3 nites at the Sunrise lodge in Park City for 350$, 5500 points and another $200 towards a room after I sit through a 2 hour time share presentation. No blackout period so I'm looking to book mid march. I can ski Park City and Sno Basin on the epic pass. Gonna be deeeeeeeep......

My basement/office is super humid in the summer.  I run a 65 pint dehumidifier (Keystone brand, but I think it's made by LG).  It's about 6 or 7 years old, so I expect it do die at any time now.  I empty it twice a day.

If you have access to a soil line in the basement or some discharge pipe, Hammacher  Schlemmer has a dehumidifier that pumps the water out so one never has to empty the bucket. I don't have a sump pump in the basement, so this is a good option if you are away from the house for extended periods of time during the swampy season.
