  1. i wish i could go. stupid calc final.
  2. Sno should update their site on a daily basis including the conditions page. Today i was gonna head up in the afternoon but decided i should call to check on the conditions because i didn't believe they could be 100% open after all that rain. Sure enough the big park is closed and so is smoke. i ended up not going because i just wanted to lap the park. I would have been pretty pissed if i drove all the way there and found out that the park wasn't open. My point is that the purpose of a conditions page on a mountains website is so that people know the current conditions. Every other mountain seems to be able to update their conditions daily, so why can't sno? It might also be nice to get some pictures of the trails and the parks on a regular basis too. The most recent pics on sno's site are from last season with the exception of a few pics of the 22 foot pipe on the main page.
  3. the jump is about 5-10 feet from lip to landing. u can take it a little deep though since the landing is kinda long.
  4. method, you hit the nail right on the head.
  5. it's not 70 feet. and yet it is "super skinny" for a park after they put the pipe up. and you just better watch out for your own asshole because sno's dick is already so far up it.
  6. guess who started shit in the second post of this thread. hmm was it ski? YEAH it was. why are you such an asshole? the kid wants this event to be as good as possible and you just gotta start shit with him. grow up man! it's sarcasm papasteez. at least i hope so.
  7. The point is that sno's jumps are pathetic, especially since they knocked the two semi-nice ones down to add to the pipe. it would be nice to have nice big jumps for all of the salomon pro's to put on a good show. sure you can hold a comp on little jumps, but it's not gonna be as fun and kid's aren't gonna be able to throw all their big tricks.
  8. from the pics on sno's website it still looks a long way off. maybe only 200 ft. and the walls only look about 10 ft. high at the bottom. it's hard to tell from those angles though so i could be wrong.
  9. it's about time. there's been so many noobs in the park lately.

    Sno pipe

probably not. i'm sure the first time people will be allowed to ride it is after the revolution tour. and it looks like they still need a lot more snow. if the weather doesn't stay cold they could be cutting it very close.
  11. hopefully they can blow a lot of snow this week for the pipe because those two jumps are not going to help at all. they need a massive amount of snow to build this thing
  12. this thread needs to stop being poached by haters who start with people coughskicough.
  13. ski i think you must have been abused as a child or something. as i read through these sno mountain threads it seems like you are starting flame wars with everyone including papasteeze, jordan, kyleA and a bunch more i'm sure. you're clearly a racer and don't really belong in a park opinion thread. this thread was flame free until you came in and started with papa and then kyleA, who were both only voicing their opinions about the park and the halfpipe. o yeah back to the halfpipe, the topic of this thread. i hope it really happens this year. it would be great to be the only ski hill on the east with a 22' pipe. but from what i saw the other day it doesn't look promising. from papasteeze's pipe illustration i would guess that there is about 1/10 of the snow required to build a proper 22' pipe piled up on spike. and the piles were only about 10 or 15 feet tall, not quite 22. and if neptune's guys aren't there to properly maintain it when needed it's going to end up like the 13' this year and last year, which isn't good. plus it doesn't seem like there is going to be near enough room on spike for a park and pipe. a 22' pipe is massive and could probably take up the whole width of the trail. i noticed that the 13' pipe has hardly any flat bottom. it just goes from one wall right in to the next. if the 22 footer is made with a similar lack of flat bottom it would be impossible to ride. my advice would be to do it right or don't do it at all. a rushed pipe would be a huge waste of time and money.
  14. i hear ya man. i'm a little dissatisfied with the upkeep of the park too.
