I still think that they should put a carpet lift in to serve the two lower parks. When park rats wanted to lap park in the past they could ride up and come down Sidewinder to the lower parks and repeat. Be nice to give them the ability to just lap the jump line or the rail yard if they want to.
This would be incredible. Some places (bigger mtns of course) have tow ropes like Track said.

I've never found snowboarders and jibhonks in general to be early risers.
lol no not at all. I'm definitely the exception to that.

haha like I said in a previous topic; I can only go as fast as my board will let me if I want to go fast.

Yep. I grew up riding Bear Creek. Weeknights would be packed with kids out of school. You'd wait in a long line for the lift on a Wednesday night with absolute trash conditions because all anyone wanted to do was snowboard and lap the park.
That whole generation either quit or mellowed out.Haha I was one of them and your absolutely correct.
Thinking about it the past couple minutes I cant think of any of my buddies that still ride.

Did snowboarding become uncool again?
I noticed Blue got rid of their parks yesterday.
It always surprises me how little snowboarders there are at blue on a regular basis. This past weekend while waiting for first chair there were maybe (2) other snowboarders in a group 20ish people.
They didn't get rid of parks altogether but they did get rid of sidewinder as a park. Like toast said, about a month ago during one of the rainstorms they lost comearound(normally a park) altogether and have since opened it as a normal trail. I would expect it be a park again next year.

Hey all,
Pulled into the lot around 715 and a few guys were already there. champagne was flowing and donuts, bagels and other stuff consumed. We all commented about how it was a little weird driving up due to daylight savings time. "we sacrificed an hour of sleep for an hour of better conditions", I believe it was Mattedge who said this. We all finally made it to the 6er around 830, very late for PASR standards, lol.
First run down razors and I had no chance to keep up with you guys but thanks for waiting at the top. After that it was Burma>Bumps>Lazy>Switchback<Burma,Sidewinder and finally chute. Overall very fun midwinter conditions all around in the morning before hitting the lot.
Hit the lot for about 30 minutes which included some SLAMMIN bacon from Enjoralas. Then went back out for 6 more runs. The carousels were full for both the quad and 6er but the VIP line for the quad was clutch.
Finally hit the lot for about an hour and just hung out. It was nice to meet all of you for the first time and hanging out with everyone in general. Thanks for all of the food too.

Lk Hopatcong. Would love to be able to go out more, but the work/life balance is hard enough without an hour plus drive for a hobby.
PASRs don't let an hour drive slide as an excuse, plus this board will probably help get you out more. Welcome to the board ATL!

Every once in a while you'll see a snowboarder. I kept reading these guys post about them so now I'm into them.

Sooo any chance you guys will wait for a buckling in snowboarder for a run? Asking for a friend.

Hey errybody.
Pulled into the lot at 720 and ended up on the 3rd chair up. The first run was probably the most fun I've had all season, first person down a perfectly groomed packed powder lazy mile and managed to link together all of the stuff Ive been trying in the lower park. I could have left and been happy! Speaking of the lower park, absolutely perfect from 8-930.
After that it was switchback(awesome) and challenge with dumb golf ball sized ice balls but otherwise nice. After that it was the bumps. Wow! So much fun after they blew an inch+ and challenging as some of them were pretty deep. I ate it pretty good on the bottom section .
then Burma and challenge again. This is when the lift stopped, for me right in front of the pole jam. They emptied the lift and I saw a few PASRs at the bottom them.. you guys bounced but the lift was back up within maybe 4 minutes. I finished with sidewinder, burma, bumps and switchback for 10 runs. Went and chilled with the PASRs that left for a little while.
Ill be up tomorrow early am and look forward to meeting you all. I'll probably be the only snowboarder so you'll know who I am, come say hi!

Antman I would have looked from you had I known who to look for. Almost forgot to mention it was really nice seeing / skiing with Mr. NMSki who I haven't seen since the party room in WY as well as Matthew Edge and his buddy (who I don't think posts here).
No worries Ridge.

Generally speaking your right but I actually choose to get a pass to blue because even with below average parks, being able to ride an actual mountain is nice. Compared to Bear or BB your stuck on slow lifts with little terrain outside of the parks.
