i just got a new edge sharpening tool. i've never sharpened my edges (eek) and im not reallllly sure what to do. the tool is a swix "edger compact", this guy: http://www.buckmans.com/store/Swix-Edger-Compact-OSCARItem_628=4252.aspx anyways, i understand i should set the angle to 88 degrees when sharpening the sides, but i'm not sure about the base edge. my tool can be adjusted to 1 or .5, which should i choose for typical PA conditions? also, my tool didnt come with the file shown, instead it came with a "swix performance diamond stone". is this a problem?

the open trails were bolts. you probably wouldnt be able to tell the difference between the open trails now and the same ones in a month. as for the non open ones, one of them looked like it needed a lot more snow/work. but all of the diamonds that are closed look like they will be open in a week or so. i DEFINITELY recommend going to elk within the next week if your looking for some steezie early season shreddin

went with my dad, we got to elk a little past 8, no wind and not too cold, i think it was like 28? idk. we got first chair and warmed up on delaware and susquehanna. the snow was nice for PA, hard hard cord. visibility sucked, the top third of the mountain was blanketed by fog which made things sketchy. i was a little hesitant at first but settled in quickly cause the conditions were very predictable, no cookies or ice chunks or unevenness anywhere. then we blasted over to the other side and lapped the same 3 or 4 trails for most the morning before returning to susquehanna and slalom and getting in some hot laps before our morning passes expired. not once did we wait in a lift line. the fog was a bit of a buzz kill, but there was no one there, snow was great, and it was an awesome first day back!

ok well scratch my post i based that off personal experience cause i have not seen much wildlife at RESORTS, especially in winter. and they could have atleast made it a quad and added another hot girl and what happens to her gloves?? in the trailer you see her wake up with her hands frozen to the bar

I've seen deer in pa, and mooses (meese? if gooses=geese it makes sense) in CO but never seen wolves or any other animals that pose a threat to skiers/boarders. regardless, that movie is gonna suck more than jenna jameson

HAHAHA that looks terrible. as if lifts arent boring enough already, lets make a movie about people sitting on one. and since when are ski resorts closed for a week? the cell phone question might be answered by no service? idk. but wolves on the mountain??? haha but not like their families would get worried and call ski patrol or anything haha

recently i went on a mini buckmans shopping spree. got some new tuning stuff etc.. i didnt see the wax i've gotten in the past, which is purple all temp swix stuff. the guy who helped me though showed me some other swix stuff and told me that "this is the same thing, just they made a new package" tonight i finished off the remainder of my old wax. after some interweb snooping i realized that the stuff he sold me wasnt hot iron wax. it was rub on then polish stuff. ughghhh. sort of annoyingggg. anyways does anyone know if they discontinued the alll season stuff, or did fuckmans just not have it? and other than that, what resonably priced all temp or something similar waxes do you recommend?
