  1. i second that.. i wish i had a crew to roll with all the time
  2. im heading up.. most likely going solo unless my roommates decides to join me.. anyone else heading up?
  3. wow... that was so sick kinda makes me want to ski haha
  4. yeah BB has em now too.. i posted it in the BB park update thread.. but i just did a 3 off the 2nd jump in widow and while in the air i see a boarder just sitting on the landing.. and i landing like 4 ft before him and almost nailed him. and he was an older guy who told me he was just taking a rest.. that fuckin ass
  5. yeah and im pretty sure jersey schools have the week off still.. the crowd was so bad wedensday at BB.. the parks were just full of ppl racing through them...
  6. yeah idk.. and its pretty much ride on now too
  7. yeah merry widow is their advanced park.. not their expert.. and its just a medium sized jump there i never said it was the biggest.. Boulder Park is where the jumps are at.. the smallest is prolly around 40 and the money booter at the bottom is 45-50ft i would say.. and dude Big Boulder is definitly not pussy haha
  8. okay that makes sense then.. thanks papa i didnt know that.. and yeah the Flat-Up-Flat is just wrong.. haha
  9. havent heard much about BB's park lately so i figure i should give an update.. Freedom Park is still the same.. 1. Rail/box option 2. downrail/jump option 3. box/jump option 4. box/jump option 5. widebox/flatbox-drop-flatbox option the jumps were a real good size for being the beginner park (15-20ft) and they rails/boxes are all good height and they all have a good size gap on for beginners.. as for the wide box at the bottom, it is somewhat slanted up and extremely sticky.. it seems that ever since they put it where it is now it is ALWAYS sticky.. my suggestion is make is a slight down slope instead of up.. Merry Widow Park same as well.. 1. downrail/downbox option 2. hip 3. hip. 4. 30 ft jump 5. 35ft jump 6. battleship box/A-frame option 7. wallride the top box and handrail are smooth and were set up very well today.. my only suggestion is put the longer handrail back up, the one that is there now is really short.. the landings on the hips were icy but still not to bad.. the first jump was extremely nice, it had a good lip and it was nice to see the park crew take the time to fix the jump properly mid day.. the last jump was nice as well good lip with a nice long landing, the wallride at the bottom had no trany up to it at all.. it was just sitting flat ontop of the snow.. Boulder Park 1.Flat-Up-Flat/Flat rail option 2. Channel gap 3. Jump/handrail option 4. jump/upslope box option i really hate that they have the DFD set up as a flat-up-flat.. and its pretty much ride on.. other then that the park was fine NOW.. my big problem with today was the crowd.. i knew it was going to be crowded but something has to be done here with the parks.. there were so many times where i had to wait forever to hit the jumps (mainly in merry widow). I went through boulder park once but there were so many people just standing on every take-off/landing/jump.. you name it and ppl were standing on it.. over at merry widow i would wait untill i knew i had a clear shot at both of the jumps and i wouldnt have to worry about ppl on the landings.. So i hit the first jump fine then bomb it towards the second.. as im in the air just doing a 3 i look down to see some kid just sitting where im about to land so ofcourse i yell WTF then i land right before him and just completely spay him with snow and when i asked what he was doing.. his reponse was taking a break!! i could of broke his neck if i was going any faster, since i would of just landed right ontop of him.. Im glad i only have a weekday pass and i dont have to deal with the weekend crowds all the time, but honestly something needs to be done at BB.. maybe no this year since the season is coming to an end but definitly next season!
  10. just make sure you get the first one around enough so you wont land on your head.. even if you get around and still take a decent fall it will get rid of all the butterflies in your stomach and the 2nd try you'll just want to nail it now.. its all about growing some balls and taking a chance...
  11. haha thats the only good thing for me here.. the last two days we sessioned two different rails here on campus
  12. here at psu hazleton is it boring as hell so i always go home on the weekends and now i cant go home today since I-80 and I-81 are closed in the parts where i need to go.. and not only that i cant get to big boulder.. even though im loving the fact that my campus has been closed since wendesday, i hate this snow cause i cant go anywhere
  13. haha not really.. i feel its overated to just flip.. like just a backflip or frontflip is stupid.. but its all about spinning with em.. which is what i want to start doing but i gotta get the basics down first
  14. haha yeah i think its a waste i mean it could be soo much better
  15. damn if only i could go.. oh and im not sure if you saw this in the other thread but thanks for these pics!
  16. since we havent had classes the past 2 days here at hazleton.. we decided to build a jump, then made it into a barrel bonk.. it was fun but then we took the barrel away and i started trying some backflips (barrel roll style) and i have em down now.. the thing is you have to commit fully!! or at least make sure you get around enough that you wont land on your head or neck.. (obviously)
  17. haha a rainbow into a rollercoaster huh? soo that would be the same as just a rollercoaster..
  18. if you ski at BC then be prepared to be dissapointed.. the beginner park is tiny.. and rhodo is well.. the jumps arent big at all.. and well yeah its just camelback..
  19. CB had one years ago ot the bottom of rhodo... wasnt big at all but it was still a channel gap
  20. haha thats an easy one.. go to www.bigboulderpark.com and look at their pics and vids
  21. the best thing rhodo has to offer i thought was the flat down rail.. it is set up soo high so it scares alot of ppl but it is so much fun it was the only reason i was going into rhodo.. im not defending their park what so ever.. i hated it completely other then the flat down.. but for being such an "advanced" park and needing a park pass to get in.. here is a shot of the one jump and to be honest, the jumps in Boulder's Freedom park are soo much better then Rhodos
  22. yeah its the hikeable park infront of the double decker lodge at BB.. theres a double-barrel rail, flat-down-flat, flat wide rail, and the picnic table
  23. in RT riders defense alex curry is sick.. just watched some of his videos, cant say much about the other boarders
  24. i guess i jumped to conclusion.. but looking at there site it says they have 5 snowboarders.. im just sayin that even in the other videos i always felt the skiers on the team were so much better then the boarders thats all
  25. if you plan on heading to big boulder im down
