Thanx AtomicSkier! I am not that great, nor to bad either. I am an average skier, that knows how to keep control, how to trun, and how to stay standing. I need to improve ALOT though. I don't want anyone making fun of me on the slopes though if people think I am REALLY good. I made a huge fool of myself on the race course at Bear Creek cause of the ice on it. I am not stable on the ice yet. I HATE ice.

AtomicSkier, can you give me some pointers on how to ski better generally? Not just racing? I need to improve in carving and turning, getting my skis to cut through icy slopes, and more things like that. If I see you at Blue, then you can prolly evaluate how well I ski, and what I need to improve.

I am prolly heading to Blue on Saturday or Sunday. I see so many racers getting thier knees to thier chest. I can't do that. Like I said, I don't have very good leg strength. What can I do to make my knees go closet to my chest?

What will I be getting my self into? What is a snowcarpet? What does it look like?

Turning around the gates. Since I was new to it during the winter break up at Bear Creek, I didn't know how far to turn around the gate and I got caught up in the powder. I also need some help with carving, I am not that strong enough with my legs. I need to carve better. I am a good skier though, but not as good as some people like Doug and the other AtomicSkier. This is the year when I improve to the extreme! As in racing, and making better turns.

I have tried to race once this year for the first time, and it was at Bear Creek. I did really bad cause I didn't know how to race for Nastar. Can anyone give me some starter pointers on how to race. How should I turn for every gate? What line should I use to get to every gate?

I want to do this at camp in Mass. for the summer. Some summer skiing done! There is a nice sized hill that I can ski down if I had some snow carpeting.

Speaking of ski and board check, Camelback doesn't have that. I wouldn't be suprised if most thefts happen at Camelback. Why doesn't Camelback have a ski and board check, like Blue and Bear has? I am mad at them because they don't have that check .

Do they have the stars on them with black background?

Well, what can I say other then WOW! Skiing today was at its best. The snow was soft, and grippy. It wasn't windy, it was just a bit to hot. There were no bare spots so I have to give like a million kudos to the Camelback Snow making crew . I had a blast today, I was in control even at high speeds just cause of the nice snow. I was doing good today, I still can improve though. I want to thank Camelback for doing a great job today on how they did everything, espeacially the snow making crew. It was such a great day. For all the people that wasn't there today, HAHA just kidding, but really, it was such a great day for skiing. It wasn't like this in such a long time.

I am not sure if thats a good thing. Is it a good thing?

Yea, if winter will stay like mad long like until April, then you can ski.

Thats right, SNOW is coming, and the cold. The poconos may get 6-12 inches of snow and maybe more with the upcoming storm on Monday night and Tuesday during the day. MAN! I am so excited for February! The resorts may be able to stay open late The warm weather may end soon! I read on Skiing Weather Man web site that this storm will give alot of snow for all the resorts here! The Skiing Weather Man I hope he is right, but I think he is because Accuweather.com is also saying the same thing

Hey, I am at school ! Grrrrr.... At around like 10:00 I was about to get to school and I saw the brightest flash EVER in the winter. At first I thought it was a car but really it was lightening and then the thunder . My dog got scared so she pissed all of the place !

Hey everyone, I am going up to Blue tommorow. I will be wearing black pants, red and grey jacket with many pockets, orange tinted goggles, black helmet, Gordini goggles, and Atomic Skis. The skis are blue. Boots are black. I hope to meet a few people there tommorow from here. I didn't meet anyone thus far this season. I hope I will.

I know its cold now, I also know thats its going away. My real question is, when is it coming back, and actually gonna stay here until spring?

We are only paying for one ticket this time! The reason, my mom won a free voucher for a lift ticket from her work, twilight or day! Yea ! We are getting the day ticket for whenever we get there. I am not waking my dad up at 5:00AM he will get pissed and say that we are not going. He doesn't like to get there THAT early. I am still leaving between 8:00 and 9:00 and getting there when ever we do, prolly at like 10:00 or 11:00 cause we are gonna take a slow time getting up there for the road condtions..
