Day 41. Missed a whole week of powder due to the flu. Had a shaky first day back and it's a different season. Went from polar conditions to early spring.

Day 39. -12°F if the sign at the top was to be believed. Snow was slow, so maybe. Managed to crank out 30,350 vertical feet by 2:30, so called it good. Haven't done that since 2014.

Day 38. Single digits and high winds again, so upper lifts weren't open until I left. Took a dozen runs and had given up on Chair 1 ever opening, left at noon.
-
Day 37. skied with friends. 0° and high winds. The husband had a bad bike accident in September. Broke his shoulder and his femur in 2 places. This was his 2nd day on skis this season. But he's looking great. 72 years old.

Day 36. My best day since I hit 70. Perfect density snow. Went in some places I haven't been in a decade.
-
Day 35. Upper lifts all closed due to frigid weather, negative 16 plus wind. Skied the open lift until I got bored.

Said local was in line before any chairs opened. I don't know when the people ahead of me arrived.

Day 33. Took a few days off. My daughter dropped off the dogs and I'd built up a lot of exhaustion with my ski schedule then all her circus made me take 3 days off. We got some powder and it was really crowded today so I didn't last long.

Day 32. Short day. Fit in a few runs before noon. My daughter and son-in-law and their dogs are arriving later so they can leave the dogs with us while they are in Japan. l

Truth be told, I personally haven't had one. Now if you mean when was our last snowfall, looks like January 12. We've had days with fresh snow, but not enough to call them powder days. I've only skied my "powder skis" a few times, mostly because they had the right wax on and the terrain wanted a more flexible ski. They have yet to see what they were designed for.

Day 31. Definitely noticing the snow drought. Supposedly snow is on the way this weekend, but I've heard that before. Things are getting skied off early.

Day 29. Another gorgeous day. Hard to pick which ones to post. Inversion day with diamond dust in the air.l

/Day 28. Eat your heart out... Actually, things are starting to get quite scraped off. We need snow. I tried to post so many pictures things kept crashing, so sending in batches.

Generally don't need them. $35 boot gloves whose battery won't die / get lost are enough 95% of the time. Also, if my boots aren't on my feet, they are on heaters even if I skip a day. So they are heated through and warm when I put them on.

Hell, no. In the locker room. I've had a locker since 2003-04. There's a 10 year waiting list now.

Day 25.-1°F. 3 layers of merino, 2 down jackets, 2 pair of ski pants, boot gloves, neoprene face mask and balaclava, heat packs in the mitts. Kept moving.
