  1. First of all, for being such a screw up--he's still in 3rd in the World Cup Standings... how are you doing this season for the world cup standings? OH MY GOD, you mean that you aren't WINNING EVERY RACE??? ALCOHOLIC!!! POOR ROLE MODEL!!! Get off the guys ass. Bode Miller is a badass, and only a badass speeds up, when the rest of us are slowing down. And FYI, they tested some of Lance Armstrongs urine from 3 Tours ago--it tested positive for a substance that is currently illegal, but wasn't the season before... so technically, he was doping--though legally. He's a cheater.
  2. think about how old he is, though. rich/famous/etc people tend to have money to play with, and people who work hard to have money tend to play the hardest. I drink and ski or drink and ride all the time. Just because he said he was partying and staying up late doesn't mean anything. if he'd have done WELL at the Olympics(shame I'm saying that, 5th in the world is still amazing) it wouldn't have been as big of a story as Bode blowing it. Who won the Gold medal in Womens snowboard cross? I bet everyone knows who DIDN'T win the medal. If Bode would have won, it wouldn't even have made the front page. The guy had a bad week. He's got a weird attitude(meaning he doesn't think like you do)... so people have a problem with him. Those people are SUPPOSED to be over there partying, having fun and racing. I don't understand why it can't just be on ESPN, and sportscenter... why does it have to be frontpage news that Bode scratches his balls, or that Shaun White got a nosebleed prior to his run, due to dry air and altitude?
  3. the ONE LOVE that you ride for... it must be the love of YOU. you degrade the sport by your presence.
  4. not if you don't listen to the doctors.
  5. truly jealous.
  6. [quote name='Doug' date='Mar 7 2006, 09:05 AM' post='67834'also stop dropping the F-bomb, this is a family site. "It's the suppression of the word that gives it the power, the violence, the viciousness." - Lenny Bruce
  7. I hope that THIS is truly enough to make him fucking do WHATEVER it takes to make moves in this game. P. Diddy made the people on "making the band" walk 20 miles in NYC to get him some freakin cheesecake... just to prove they had the motivation to be IN the "rap game" I'll ride with the steeze clan anytime... one day I hope to PLAN to meet the steeeeeeeeeeeeeeze clan for a run down "outerlimits" at killington... as we all know, moguls are the ONLY hardcore freestyle runs on this planet. lol and I forgot... please tell the "nippin beauty" I am really proud of him. I don't know about camelback as a whole(whicH I'm sure are proud...) but I am VERY proud to know that my home mountain is holding it DOWN abroad... I almost wanna get back on my ski's, just to raise up like the cheezer has.
  8. Yea, I know I came off like a huge dick... yardsale or not, I'd like to see it... I also work for canon.. lemme know what specific plugin you are looking for(pm if need be) and I'll get your ass sorted out. I thought I saw you there today, actually(camelback) never met you, but after the CB MB drama, it needs to happen.
  9. I thought I kinda came off like a dick, but whatever. By the time I was 8 years old, I was warming up the car for my parents so that I could make it to weigh-ins. I don't think I've EVER had more than 6% body fat. I dunno... I just hate losing, even when I was like 6-7-8 years old. Who the hell wants to just be GOOD at something? Coming in second isn't "Steeze" it's CHEESE. I used to have a saying when wrestling: "If you haven't seen the lights, you haven't wrestled me." Your opponents are going to be out to kick your ass, in sports and in real life. This is way larger than a 12 year old not wanting to do some gate training. It's a life lesson. If you want anything in life, you will have to do some kind of bullshit to get there. Want money? Get a job. Wanna win at skiing? Practice harder, longer, better than your opponent. Learning to half-ass it at 12 would be the worst lesson to learn at that dudes age. Learning that nothing comes easy is a good one to learn now. Nothing worth anything comes easy in this life. People who are content to be "average" bug the hell out of me. I just wanna pick them up and shake them and be like "have some respect for yourself!!!!" I bet with the right amount of pressure, he'll keep up his normal pace... probably when he hits like 15ish, he's gonna start REALLY pushing himself. That or he'll quit altogether. Champions don't need to be pushed. They go on their own, but they DEFINATELY need to be steered in the right direction.
  10. Oh shit, son! That's huge, dude. Good to hear that PA has people who are going to making huge waves in the future. I definately wanna see that video when you guys get back! Oh, and regarding the training situation... tell Nipples to "Man-up" and quit his freakin whining. He's still pretty young, yea? Who pays the bills around your house? He will do what you tell him to do, or you can MAKE him do it. Maybe YOU need to "Man-up". What's more important to YOU at this point, is what's important. Parents make decisions on their kids' futures until those kids are old enough to decide. Simply explain to him that REAL skiers can ski any terrain, anywhere, anytime. And then, kindly explain to him that if he doesn't do what you say--you'll end his freakin life. We're talking about like thousands of dollars being spent on a kid that obviously doesn't wanna do what it takes to be the BEST SKIER that he can be. Consider for a moment how you were when you were his age... natural talent isn't shit without the desire to do whatever it takes. I used to play soccer, run track, run cross country and wrestle ALL summer, just to stay in shape for High school wrestling. So take it from me when I tell you, skiing some bumps or gates... screw that crap. That's like vacation for me. Dude, if all I had to do to be a better wrestler and have enough stamina year round to be national champion(which I've been 8 times in my life, btw.) is to ski some gates... pfft. he bounces on a trampoline? poor baby... someone get him a tissue. BTW, I didn't just win 8 national titles in Folkstyle wrestling... I also won 6 in freestyle and 2 in Greco-Roman... 3 completely different(and by different, I mean as different as freestyle skiing and super g) disciplines of the sport. Don't forget 2 Jr Olympic Gold Medals, in Freestlye and Greco-Roman. He's having trouble with an extra few hours a week? I think he's got too many people telling him what hot shit he is. He's not an olympic medalist. He's not shit. He's a local kid who has some natural talent. More importantly, he's a local kid with talent--who can't find the drive to dedicate himself completely. I know I took ballet for 4 years. Can you imagine how much shit I caught for that, being in High school and in ballet? Talent isn't shit if it's wasted... well, except for an anchor... an anchor that SINKS you when you are 40 years old, and you wish that you would have used it. I blew my knee out and my ride was over... but I don't regret a second of practice, or playing sports that I HATED(freakin soccer? what is this, Argentina?) so that I could excel in the one I loved. To be the best at what you do, you have to train harder than the other guy. You have to want it more. You have to imagine whatever your opponent is doing to train, and you have to make that guy look like a CHUMP. You have to make him look LAAAAAAAAAAAZY. Fortunately for Nipples' competition, he's not making it too tough for them to make him look lazy. Hell, I can sympathize with him though. I hated wearing pink tights... but hearing the national anthem after winning in my preferred style--it's unbelievable man. I tell you what, though... after I won that medal, I ran 5 miles! Sorry for the monologue bud, but tell that kid to try a sport that involves cutting 3 pounds in 25 minutes, bare naked weight... did I mention that weigh-ins for nationals were at 4am? Dude doesn't wanna ski some gates/bumps/etc...? Nipples sounds like the next Bode Miller. America will be real proud of his DNF's and low scores, because he didn't quite nail that twist. Damn, if he'd have ONLY put in those few extra hours a week... he MIGHT have been somebody. But hey, what the hell do I know about practice? Sorry for writing a book, P. Diddy... but he needs to get his ass in gear! The next Olympics is 4 years away.
  11. I recommend anyone that thinks they can do better... actually do better.
  12. damn son, that looks fun. I wanna hit that up on my board.
  13. Camelback has had MORE people there this year than last year. We've been over last years numbers for a while now... Presidents Week completed the cycle, really...
  14. I encourage it I may move to Vermont soon
  15. they sell them at the Sunbowl lodge, not the Glen. but ONLY on weekends and holidays, and not even MOST weekends... mainly when it's a packed holiday.
  16. camelback has a larger variety of trails than Blue. I think some of the blacks are a lot harder than the "double"... but other than that, I also think they are slightly more challenging than Blue.
  17. I actually used to drink a case of that a night.... it's got a HORRIBLE next day taste, though.
  18. I occasionally chop people up and put them in suitcases.... I think I can work that out for a small fee.
  19. I always feel like that. Domestic brews all suck.
  20. he probably thought you were going to beat him down for drinking crap beer. it was free though.
  21. lol. ripping is for those who care more about speed than technical skiing. Anyone can bomb a hill and stop at the end... not anyone can just rip some moguls like wet paper.
  22. I think they should just blow snow every single day that it is cold enough and never groom anything.
