Dude I totally invented this last week, by accident. My Burton Missions's toe straps broke AGAIN which is no exaggeration the 5TH time, so I just took them off and have been riding with only heel straps since. It works just as well.

Talked to a few people who have ridden them and they seem to be mixed on the idea. Some people loved them because they are simple and quick. Others didn't like the lack of a second strap to really get that custom feel. I have my request in to demo a pair so I'll post here if/when I get them.

Agreed, the only time I switch my convertibles from cap to over the top is in the park. I like the feel of it over the top for nose and tail presses, I can't imagine that would feel good. We are having a damn hard time carrying Ride at work, it was almost axed this year but I fought to keep it, and it didn't sell well again. Next year we are trying for bindings only, if we can't do that we might have to drop them, their boards and boots just do not sell.
