skimom Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 Does Blue have a good demo shop for race skis or for boot demos? Or, is there a good demo place nearby?
AtomicSkier Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 Does Blue have a good demo shop for race skis or for boot demos? Or, is there a good demo place nearby? why? looking to demo some skis while you're there? They may have one, however, I have never inquired.
skifreak Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 Maybe at the blue roof ski and sport at the base on blue mt drive but I am not certain.
skimom Posted February 1, 2005 Author Report Posted February 1, 2005 That's right, Atomic. I'm still looking for the perfect ski to replace my beloved, but aging P50's. With all of you Blue freaks I thought you guys would know of a million demo options...

ole2planker Posted February 1, 2005 Report Posted February 1, 2005 skimom, my recollection is that the rental shop at Blue has "high performance skis" for rent at the end of the rental line, just before the cashiers. I haven't been in there this season (hell, I haven't made it to the Poconos this season), so I don't know what the choices are.

I'd call up Blue roof ski shop, perhaps, which is right at the base of the mountain (on the south side of the mountain)
Starry*Eyed*Suprise Posted February 1, 2005 Report Posted February 1, 2005 Hey Skimom, your local rental shop will normally lease/rent you a pair for the day. You can generally demo any set they have in stock for a minimal fee, normally the cost of renting a set at the mountain. Hope this helps.
ole2planker Posted February 1, 2005 Report Posted February 1, 2005 (edited) I prefer an on mountain rental shop, if it has a good selection of skis, because you can keep going back each hour or so and change skis. A great way to compare skis in actual conditions. Edit for spelling Edited February 6, 2005 by ole2planker
