PSUFrankenstein Posted March 13 Report Posted March 13 Drove to Syracuse last night and hit Snow Ridge in western NY today hoping to get some lake effect snow. Showed up around 10 15 and was one of 4 cars in the lot. Unfortunately they only got an inch overnight and it didn't start snowing again until around 1. Conditions were firm...lot of cool glades but they were frozen solid. Interesting place...they have goats and a highland cow at the base. Rode until 12 30...got a beer, chili, and 2 Moscow mules and back out for more runs. Left shortly after 3 and getting beers and an early dinner at Fulton Chain brewery now. Staying old forge NY tonight and planning to hit Mccauley mountain tomorrow. Its been snowing most of the afternoon and not supposed to stop until tomorrow afternoon so I should have better conditions tomorrow 7 1
PSUFrankenstein Posted March 15 Author Report Posted March 15 Snow ridge got 16" from the storm Friday and yesterday. I was a day or two early. Thought about stopping there again after McCauley yesterday but they were only open until 4 so I wouldn't have had much time
