  1. Nice report. Magic is a great place...i hit it last year on a good day, maybe I'll get back there next month
  2. Yeah, only brewery I've been to in this general area was Equilibrium. Sloop and Hudson valley were both great. So many other breweries in the area that I need to visit
  3. Drove about 5 hours to the Hudson valley in NY...peanut butter bacon burger and 2 beers at sloop brewing...then a flight at Hudson valley brewing. Industrial Arts brewing is also like 5 min from the hotel but I figured @toast21602 would be disappointed in me if I didn't hit Hudson valley...plus they have a much different style of beers, so i had to stop
  4. Burke was awesome today. I think everything was open except the race course. Started off on East bowl and then did a bunch of other trails...Sasquatch glade, powerline, wilderness, a few groomers...hit caveman glade twice, which had great snow. Did some other glades that I can't remember. Stopped at the mid mountain bar for chili and a Burlington ipa (no hill farmstead on tap this time) Headed back out after 20 minutes or so and did caveman again, Doug's drop, power line, Lee's loop and a few groomers. Hit the 2 glades on the far skiers left side of the mountain, the jungle and birches...then Enchanted forest, which was a glade that turned into a banked slalom. Did two runs through the terrain park and did some ugly tail grabs and a method and left a little before 2
  5. Antman! Been a while haha
  6. I'll check it out! The mtn pig is the only board in the "pig" series that isn't volume shifted as far as I know but it's a 159 which is a little longer than my other boards. The Dancehaul is a 154 but volume shifted. Burke is great today. I'll post a report tonight. Beer and chili break right now. I'm staying in Fishkill NY tonight...figured if I'm not riding tomorrow I'll stay over closer to home tonight and hit some breweries
  7. You should...a lot of great indy resorts in the northeast
  8. I picked it up a few months ago on clearance...it's a Salomon Dancehaul. It's fun in the trees and powder but not great on icy groomers. I've also been riding another new board, Ride Mtnpig. Great on groomers and powder but it's too long and stiff (haha) in the trees for me
  9. It's always pretty empty although I've never been there on a weekend. I did see a few people on the hike to stuff and chatted with two indy passers from the lehigh valley
  10. After lunch I hit a few groomers...swapped boards with the intent of hitting more groomers but my first run off the high speed quad after that I hit professor...wiped out on the drop on that, I was expecting a smaller drop with the amount of snow. Hit a bump run then back up and over to Kennebago quad. Hit tight line, which is a steep groomer and another glade that cuts into chute 1. Did a top to bottom run and a few more groomers after that and left around 3. Drove to St. Johnsbury, VT and hit Red Barn brewing for a few beers, Mac and cheese, and live music. Burke tomorrow...probably not riding Saturday unless the wind forecast changes
  11. Saddleback was awesome today...one of my favorite indy pass places. I'll do a before and after lunch report. Got on the high speed quad a few minutes after 9...did a glade (nightmare glades i think) down to the Kennebago quad. Back to the top and hiked out to Muleskinner. They've had almost 2 ft of snow this week so there were some deep pockets but also some windblown spots. After that, repeated the traverse to hit Casablanca chutes 1 through 4. All had great snow and some untouched lines. Hit dark wizard glades then back to the top and took a groomer to the upper lodge restaurant. Had a spicy tuna roll and a mast landing IPA
  12. Hit Cushnoc brewing in Augusta, Maine...beer was good, pizza was really good. Stopped at Titcomb mountain for 5 t-bar laps since it's 10 min from the hotel. Cool little place similar to Cochrans in Vermont. It was packed with kids but no lines.
  13. Never been to Middlebury but @Johnny Lawspoke highly of it. Magic is great. Haven't been there yet this season but it should be good right now
  14. Rode at camden snow bowl from 10 to a little after 1. Great place...hit all of the open trails a few times and popped into the open glades a bit. Dodging some rocks and branches on the glades and natural snow trail but decent snow. The views here are awesome. Had a baxter ipa and a small chicken banh mi and started heading east. Staying near Farmington, Maine tonight, hour or so from saddleback
  15. A trek to renegade...it's not that bad haha. I've done that from the high speed quad a bunch every time i was there...you are correct though, it's a fun trail
  16. I think its massif de Charlevoix or whatever that closed. Sud is on my list but it's also really far. Owls head and mont Sutton are relatively close to Jay so those are doable. Camden snow bowl is great. Views definitely do not suck
  17. Yeah, such a cool vibe there. NH has had a great season so far. Hope it continues. I'm probably going to skip a trip put west this year and do Jay, Bolton, maybe Canada depending on when my passport shows up. Or northern VT and NH again
  18. Did they have a bus in the terrain park at one point? I know Blue Knob did...maybe I'm thinking of that. Its been a long time since I was a park rat
  19. He has his own run at Waterville...Wayne Wong's Way. Closed for snowmaking though. After Black mountain, I headed towards the coast. Stopped in Cape Elizabeth and took a walk along the cliffs/lighthouse. Really cool place. Then drove north about 45 minutes to Brunswick for dinner...seafood egg rolls and a lobster roll. Then drove to the hotel in Freeport. I was going to hit Maine Beer, but they close at 8. I'm at Mast Landing brewery which is open until 9 and the parking lot is connected to the hotel.
  20. Black mountain was a ton of fun. Maybe 40 cars in the lot. A lot of people doing uphill. No one on the slopes so you could fly down whatever groomer you felt like. Hike to stuff didn't open...did a few glades and natural snow trails. I plan on going back next year or maybe even in March. Rode from 9 30 to 2 15 ish and then left for Maine
  21. Not cheap haha. 75 I think but no big deal. I wanted to stop there. Probably a great time first thing in the morning when everything is groomed
  22. Great so far but glades and natural snow trails need to soften up...so that means time for a mid mountain beer and fondue break
  23. I hit cannon most of the day yesterday...can't do 2 indy redemptions in one day. Black mountain is awesome today. Empty, warm, and sunny.
  24. I was chatting with the guy at the hotel front desk when checking in yesterday, who snowboards. He gave me a discount code for waterville valley so I left cannon around 1 15 and got to waterville a little before 2. Waterville was cool but mostly icy groomers...probably would've been better to stay at Cannon but I wanted to check it out. Only took a few pics...they had a banked slalom course that was fun. Some stuff had closed later in the day for snowmaking. Did 7 or 8 runs...then back to the hotel to get changed. Stopped at Woodstock inn brewery for a beer, then dinner and two moscow mules at common man in Lincoln.
  25. Rode cannon from 9 to 1 today. Did 5 top to bottom runs...hit profile which is a steep groomer and was untouched...wasn't open last time I was here. One bump run, short fuse to lower hard scrabble which was nice and soft. Then upper and middle hardscrabble which was a long semi steep bump run. Also popped into global warming glade which was good. After that I switched boards and back to the top. Down Taft slalom and then hiked up the saddle to Mittersill side. Did a long groomed run and then hit the race trail, Taft training slope...i was the only person on that which was great. Two more runs back up the double to hit 2 glade runs, idiots delight and candy land. Both opened up into north slope which had some powder left. Then did cannonball, a narrow ungroomed trail to dragons drop and cut back to the main base area. Did one more run up the mid mountain lift and cut down zoomer...finished at cannon with a Lawsons little sip at cannonball pub.
