  1. Durham Bulls game last night...caught a t shirt and a ball
  2. I was planning on going tomorrow but looks like I'll be doing car repairs instead
  3. Looks great for closing day. Was hoping to make it yesterday but I've had a terrible sinus infection since Friday. I'll have to visit camelsack at some point in April to get another day in
  4. Great day...good to hang out with everyone and great food as always. Also went tubing for the first time in like 25 years. Only took one pic of some of the furry party attendees.
  5. Have fun Ridge Racer Conditions look nice today Old forge pizza good
  6. Yep I got plenty of solo cups to bring
  7. I'll plan on bringing the stuffed soft pretzels and probably donuts. And beer
  8. They're planning to blow snow this week. Cannonball, boomer, and white lightning all had good coverage before the rain so I would expect those to be open. Maybe smoke if they can get the bare spots covered at the top
  9. If you really wanted to go somewhere in MA, Butternut is only 15 or 20 minutes further than catamount and weekday tickets are 40 I think...not sure I'd day trip there though. Its a cool place with good grooming but trails are pretty mellow compared to Catamount
  10. Rode at Montage from 9 to 11:30. Conditions were surprisingly pretty good. Only Boomer and cannonball open on the north face so I mostly hit those and 2 runs on the upper mountain. White lightning was closed but had good coverage. It was ungroomed and probably icy. Got tacos and a bloody Mary at the bar for lunch.

  11. Snow ridge got 16" from the storm Friday and yesterday. I was a day or two early. Thought about stopping there again after McCauley yesterday but they were only open until 4 so I wouldn't have had much time
  12. Rib injuries suck. I broke a few ribs on a rail back when I still did park stuff and it was awful. Hope you heal up soon
  13. Hit Mccauley mountain today from 9 to 2...around 6 to 8" of fresh snow by the morning and it was still snowing when I left. Really cool place. Not on indy but a day ticket was only $45. Steeper and more rocks and drops than snow ridge. Glades really weren't in play today but they looked like they'd be fun mid winter. It was empty. I was expecting some crowds for a snowy Saturday. Had a fried fish Reuben and a fiddlehead IPA for lunch...stopped at Grow brewing near Utica and then a few beers and dinner at Breaker Brewing. Hitting montage tomorrow morning...not expecting great conditions but I want to use my second indy day there.

  14. Drove to Syracuse last night and hit Snow Ridge in western NY today hoping to get some lake effect snow. Showed up around 10 15 and was one of 4 cars in the lot. Unfortunately they only got an inch overnight and it didn't start snowing again until around 1. Conditions were firm...lot of cool glades but they were frozen solid. Interesting place...they have goats and a highland cow at the base. Rode until 12 30...got a beer, chili, and 2 Moscow mules and back out for more runs. Left shortly after 3 and getting beers and an early dinner at Fulton Chain brewery now. Staying old forge NY tonight and planning to hit Mccauley mountain tomorrow. Its been snowing most of the afternoon and not supposed to stop until tomorrow afternoon so I should have better conditions tomorrow
  15. I do have an extra ticket. Just let me know if you want it and I can email it to you
  16. I'm not riding blue this weekend either.
  17. I may have an extra montage ticket if you want it. I’ll check this weekend but i think I bought a discount ticket before the season started
  18. Are you inviting @indiggio to Solitude for a quickie? Sounds like a grate opportunity
  19. Nice - I wanted to check out Beaver Mountain when I was there a few years ago but didn't get a chance. I'd consider going back to Powder Mountain but it would have to be great conditions to make it worth it. I do love the lack of crowds there, but I'm not sure if that's still the case. Checking their site, even if I pretend to book for the end of the month, it's still $ 177 for a lift ticket - not cheap considering the other mountains in Utah that have better terrain for similar, or even cheaper lift tickets
  20. Yeah...foggy, damp day but good soft snow. I mostly hit switchback and coming soon, both were good
  21. Yep the summit chair. I wanted to stop there on my last trip up north even though they had limited stuff open with the t bar only at the time. I'll stop there next season for sure
  22. They finally have a running chairlift at Whaleback again. I'd like to get there at some point
  23. Some of the Indy places with RFID cards are changing, which is nice. Saddleback, you can now reserve your Indy day online using an RFID card if you have one and I believe can do direct to lift...same with Cannon from what they told me there last time. If I remember correctly, Greek was the same way last year. Obviously if you don't have the RFID card, you'll have to go to the window or customer service the first time.
  24. yeah, the extra cost isn't as much of an issue - I may do it next year (2027-2028) and try to make a point to go somewhere out west to use it. It would be cool to combine Indy and Ikon trips too - I could add in the VT and ME mountains pretty easily to my trips and even Loon if it's a weekday. On another note, looking at the mountain list, there are a couple midwest Indy mountains now on Ikon. Not that it makes a big difference for me, but Snowriver was one of the ones I had considered hitting if I spend more time out in Michigan. Thats now on Ikon for next year, as well as Lutsen (probably wouldn't go to MN, but looks like a cool place) and Granite Peak in WI.
