On the evening of July 2, 2006, Dan Brocious, the head snowmaker at Bear Creek Mountain Resort, was seriously injured in a car accident. Dan does have health insurance but he is still hospitalized and at the very least his out of pocket for this year will be approximately $2500. He just started to speak again and was able to walk with the assistance of 2 people. He has a long road to recovery but his mom thinks he should be able to make a full recovery.
