Are you gonna be at Blue opening day?
I'd like to but I don't have my pass yet . I was promised it would be by "opening day " . Kids high school deal ....

Saturday summary ...Looks good too! Although Joe tends to be consistently optimistic.

Whenever I see old ski pictures, no one is wearing a hat. I wonder why.
LOL Spoken like a "Mom" .........First picture the snow is melting on the roof so it's probably warm . Third picture the only people that are not wearing hats are the spectators in the background .

holy crap this is super cool! Thanks so much for sharing. Big Boulder has a very rich history. Its gotta be one of the oldest operating resorts in the state.
Just noticed my Grandparents in the background of the last picture lol.
Your welcome it would have been a shame to leave them in a box .
The lift line looks pretty long , I didn’t think skiing was very popular back then. Ironically I took him skiing for the first time when he was 55

I didn’t make it this year, the NCCC
Lipkin theatre is pretty cool venue. I started going for the Elk passes but kinda turned into family night.
Got there late one year and younger son got to pull names… Sure enough he pulled his brothers name Lol. He claims he didn’t look. Couple Blue passes.
Agree the Elk blackout most of the season stinks but I’ve hit a lake effect powder day that was crazy.

Do you have a season pass at Blue?
A restricted one , good week days and after 4pm weekends. I’m self employed and usually ski weekdays

Yes! My architect talked me into the in floor heating and concrete floors. Never had either.
I built my house 21 years ago and did the whole thing with radiant. My wife’s feet were like ice before that lol. If my back is giving me trouble I’ll lay on the floor with a pillow and blanket and take a nap .
2014 Switched to Geo , It was expensive but paid for itself.
Spring and fall you may have some trouble controlling indoor temperatures, I would ask your heating guy about an outdoor reset control. It adjusts water temp based on the outside temp.
You’re going to love it!

Say good bye to getting anything outdoors done after work.....
True ! I gave my ATV a workout this afternoon (probably pissed of the neighbors) then put the chains and plow on . My snow blower was pretty weak last year , I got the belt cover off and determined the belt was loose I might have to replace it , ran out daylight ...Damn .

weather guy also reminded me -- bring in your power washers or winterize 'em. forgot about that, hopefully mine isn't busted.
Don’t leave any hoses connected to your outside faucets either.

Based on my last PPL bill, i pay about $.16 per kw, i would assume Benm is paying the same, unless there is still the use more, pay less with PPL. Even if thats the case, it might o down to $.14.
Cool math problem, but looks like it needs to get re-done.
Looks like things went up some but still below 10cents

Place we order from is at 2.99. 2.99 x 250 gallon tank = thank God I'm on the monthly plan.
Well doing the math electricity is cheaper . Kero 125,000 btu per gallon your heater is 94% eff so 117,000 useable btus
vs electricity at .08 cents per kw same is 34.43 kws x .08 is $2.75 for equivalent anything over . Nice to have if the power goes out but not cheaper .
