  1. haha, first off, I NEVER have been to blue, ever. I have been to bear creek last year and it was set up nice. But this years planning for snowmaking is sadly mismanaged. Again, look at places that got later startes at snowmaking then BC (eg. Sn
  2. hmm, really? snowflex is ok, stay away from dendix, but the best stuff (or closest to real snow) to ride is perma-snow ( http://www.perma-snow.com/ ). Problem is that dryslopes are more of a UK thing and arn't real popular in the states....... yet... hey, maybe BC should get some being they don't know how to get enough snow on the mountain fast enough to stay open more then 2 days at a time....
  3. Was that arround 6pm. I followed 2 abulances in about 6:15pm on my trip back from mike and matts.
  4. Yes Mr. Chips, {akistan is actually very mountainous. Just on a quick google I found a good pic. http://www.everestnews.com/g2005/g2fe2005u06302005.htm
  5. Well , i have to agree with you on the season pass validation. It may cause me to get a pass with another resort next year.
  6. Really dude, it's $10. Pay it or go to another mtn open till 3am. Ohh, wait, there is no other mtn open till 3am.
  7. Thats like buying a half day pass and bitching that you can't use it the whole day. To add to that, they are the only place I know of that has good bands and does not charge a cover. So it's a little stupid to cry about the $10 upgrade when you think about it.
  8. Just a heads up for those thinking of avoiding getting tickets. JFBB has been checking quite frequently. They will even spot check people hiking the mountain. As of yet they do not use scanners.
  9. Sorry, I'm not one of those rich snobby Jersey tourist that look like the bought matching construction zone alfits for the whole group (those people are so funny...........looking)
  10. I think you meant start at frost and work our way over to boulder. Anyway, tnx whoever stepped up to the plate, wasn't sure we would have one this year.
  11. Any idea how they are working the lift tickets? I am probobly bringing a few peeps and are wondinging what they are going to need to do when the buy their day passes and what their re-validation process is for passholders all they say on their website is Sunday Night- Midnight Madness at Big Boulder 97.9X hosts "DROPING DAYLIGHT" Season Pass Holders can re-validate their passes for Midnight Madness in addition to the day pass.
  12. HAHA, I was thinking the same thing. Was almost afraid to read the thread.
  13. Ouch!!!, The mountain looks bare. It's ridable but narrow. Everyone might have to go down single file ... hehe Is it really January , This it by far the worst year I have ever seen.
  14. I checked into it, and yes improperly installed wheels and wheels that are undertorqued WILL result in track failer. Apearently this is a common problem. and , although it is a pointless mute point, PB now come with XM radio now, go figure.
  15. Hahaha, It was straight at one time but two years ago someone carelessly drug it with a cat . Guys, If nothing else, thanks for the smooth jibs. Hopefully we can get you to come back. I myself have taken a few trips to MC for the park. It's a haul for me and MC's snow really sucks, but the park made the mountain. I was hoping you guys would be here long enough to make a rainbow rail like you had at creek last year but I guess JFBB customers paid more this year to get 2 less. Don't get me wrong, the guy's that were the prior to PL are great guys buy you guys "fabricate" great jibs and a more free flowing park. So the question is, where are you guys going now, I'll make a trip at least a couple times a year.
  16. CO is loaded with zelanders. Because their winter is opposite of ours, they get 6 mo work vesas so they can snowboard/ski year round. Part of the bad work ethic has to do to the poor management and treatment of the employees prior to peak. I knew a bunch of good people who left because BB managment treated them like crap. I believe and hope peak is better then this, but reguardless, they will inhertit the bad taste left in peoples mouth from prior years. Second half of the poor work ethic is this area, I have fired 3 people in one week because they were worthless lazy people and I am an easy going guy who usually works with people. This is not just my experiance, it seems from talking to other business owners and management they have the same prob. I gave up and just work 10 to 16 hour days and not have crappy employees rather then waste my time with people that constantly don't show up, are late, and/or don't want to listen and do things the way they feel they should be done.
  17. Batman, but no, seriously, you never answered your cell... It's not too bad. But it's still slow, It will be a pain when it gets busy. I don't mind a JF, but at BB I park on the opposit side, so it is quite a hike to get it. Oh well, It's more then likely not going to change, so I guess we all have to deal. BTW... Make sure you secure your pass good. Quite a few people have already lost theirs this year.
  18. I have a season pass so I hopefully should not have to worry about it too much. But a word to the wise stick the the day pass somewhere were you won't fall on it and when you put it on, make sure it sticks in the middle, if iit start to slip off, goto guest services and ask for a new one. If they refuse, at least they know your face at that point.
  19. Right for their website PLEASE READ - The Season pass is a credit card type pass that the passholder must present at the Jack Frost or Big Boulder ticket window each time they come to ski/board to pick up (and must wear) a daily lift ticket. They will be added to your season pass and can be redeemed any day through the 06-07 season. That's not all! You will also receive $20 debit dollars! This too will be added to your season pass.
