I heard there are a few companies looking into the prospects, now that we have indoor slopes, to bring us man made mountains. I'm sure Vt wont have a problem with say, an addition to Mt. Wash?

CB has sold all the fresh stuff to Mountain Creek in an attempt to recoup some of their operating losses. Papa told me he can see a continuous line of dump trucks leaving the mountain full of snow.

You would think that due to the winter we are having the marketing gurus would take advantage of posting new snow last night.

Well after the couple of inches we got tonight, it was some of the best skiing I have had in the poconos this year. Big Pocono was my favorite just sweet with light piles in all the right places. But all in all everything was in good shape. The only issue we had was my friend really wanted to ride the pipe and @ 7:30 at night the shed atop Rhodo had no more park passes. Can't get a pass and can't ride pipe without......CB I have had my first experience with pooor customer service. Thank you. I no longer feel like the only one here that has never had a bad experience. No passes and no further info on getting one .

Thanks for talking about the snow... we went from getting 4-8 inches to Flurries.

Their conditions page says it's looking good. Might not try hittin the pipe this weekend. I'll be busy on Cliffy. Anyone here going to be up Friday night?

Agreed absolutely. I bit it hard going off the side of the 2 ft. tabletop in Laurel. 2 other people hit it offf the side and right when I hit it I knew why there was an 10 year old just sitting on the landing.

I agree with Asp, Dromedery and also Hump and john bailey as it is not needed for Asp and Hump. They will probably use the snowmaking power to redo the laurel park.

Yeah, it is understandable when you wipe but to just sit there is fookin annoying

Can snow be added then recut, or completely re-tilled then cut? I'm 6'6" tall so going sideways in the 6' pipe scares me more than a 12' wall. I just feel the longer transition would be more comfortable.

Thanks for the speedy response, I am a skiier and afraid that the little pipe is too small. Would this one be better for learning for a skiier?

They don't usually update the weekend outlook until at least Wednesday. Porbably don't want to get hammered in here if they say 30 open and only get 29.

Papa, I don't ride pipe yet and you established what causes those voids. Why are they bad?

Here we go again....a new trail with a new groomer on opening weekend. Give me a fuckin' break. CB please close the pipe and post a sign at the top to all riders that it will not reopen until Mrs.Douchenozzle gives her approval.

I think this is the point here. Riding uphill in sopts and pulling a sled through flat spots can't be done easily. However this makes them no worse or better. The skiier is just probably more efficient at completind the task.
