Pizza Wedge (2/10)

  1. nikwax.com - different products for different fabrics - works great
  2. I'm looking to go up on Friday for the first trip of the year and am bringing some people from work. Is the base area cleaned up from the water slides/construction yet or is it still a mess. Just trying to figure out if it's worth introducing new people to sno yet or wait till later when they're ready. Thanks in advance for your input.
  3. Their web site doesn't have any info. Any one know if they will be open on January 1st or if they were open last New Years day? I assume so, but need to plan a vacation around where what is open. Thanks
  4. I'm going to Chile for some snowboarding in June. Valle Nevado and El Colorado. Anyone been there before and if so, any recommendations?
  5. I have a 7 and 5 year old that we've been taking to Sno this year for lessons and skiing. (Yes, we have a problem with Webkinz too....) As a parent, thanks! Your helpful attitude above is what makes the noticable difference between going to Sno and elsewhere. We're bringing as many of our friends back to Sno as possible next year. You guys deserve the business, even though it means more crowds.
  6. Season Pass: No Rode Sno 5 times this year Next year hopefully 10 #1 Improvement: Blow snow nightly on the NF headwalls. Because it's sooo much fun the next day. No ice, great riding, why not (other than when Smoke is used for racing)? One other suggestion - run the new quad or longhaul during the week instead of just on weekends
  7. Some easy suggestions: Blow snow nightly on the NF headwalls, that was great when you did it. Run the new top to bottom Quad (or longhaul if quad doesn't happen) during the week, not just weekends like longhaul. Get ride of the RFID lift tickets, it takes way too much time to scan them, and they can't be scanned if they are on your wrist under gloves or jacket. Childrens lessons ticketing and sign up in the same spot instead of having to go to 2 different buildings. Some compliments: Childrens ski school instructors were great and much more valuable lessons than at JF or CB. Your snow was great this year for what little time there was. Everyone working at Sno was really nice. In general, a much better, nicer place to go with better trails and snow than CB or JF. Easier to get to and noticeably better snowmaking than Elk. My favorite place this year. See you next year.
  8. Anyone use or try the Flexmeter gloves? Thanks for all the feedback on the levels
  9. Anyone have experience/input on using Flexmeter or Level gloves with the wrist protection for riding?
  10. I'm looking to head up on Wednesday, is it too cold or ok, given the wind? Also, a previous post said that long haul was closed, but I just checked the web site and it shows open. Was it running today?

    162?

Do you know where they plan on adding those new trails? Just interested, because I'm starting to like Sno a lot.

    100% open

They are, but it didn't really bother me that much. The trails are wide enough that you can go around if you want. I did like the fact that they had ungroomed powder to play in, especially on the headwalls, so that's a real plus for blowing on open trails during the day.
  13. No idea, never tried them, but they are worthy of awards we are told One other thought, those rfid wrist bands take wwwwaaaaayyyy too much time to scan. I don't know how they can survive if it were a weekend. The lift guys were trying as much as possible, but I would easily miss 1-2 chairs everytime while they tried to scan them. Luckily, there were only 3 other people on the mountain. Try 30 seconds to scan X 3-4 people per chair X ?,000 people per day X 20 runs and you have a major meltdown waiting
  14. went to sno today. sweet. definately recommend over CB. Blacks are longer and segregated vs. CB having short blacks leading into greens. Blues (Whistler) were not too difficult though, more like greens at CB. Conditions were nice today. Half shallow powder, half groomed, blowing snow all day long. People were friendly. Award winning waffles. What else could you ask for?
