  1. JFBB...Easy reasons 1. Staff care 2. Options 3. Crowds are usually not much of a issue 4. Need I say more I think, ya all been to these places a million times in the end your going to make your decision on how you feel at the time.... ~44
  2. 1.Season Pass Holder: Yes/NO......no but am I employee 2. List the Number of Times you Skied/Rode Sno this year. over 39 3. Remembering the bad start to the season and based on your experience this year, list the number of times you expect to ski/ride Sno Next Season. by Thanksgiving, until Mid April 4. List the #1 Improvement you would like to see for next season. Why you would like to see this improvement. How it will benefit you and Sno Mountain. Feel free to add to previously listed comments. I would have to say either a high speed quad(or 6 pack).....why and how, easier control of lift lines esp if they put those 3 new slopes up which would be sweet as well.... 5. List ONE other NOT previously listed Improvement you would like see for next season. Why you would like to see this improvement, and how it would benefit you and Sno. I'm thinking limit you posts of new improvements to 1/day in order to give others a chance to respond? Dunno if it was listed but a slope or 2 maybe on the beginner side of the mountain a well, even a partial slope there 6. Please keep your posts positive. Feel free to bitch about your experiences but also offer a SOLUTION! Otherwise you're just bitching. How to offer my solution to that problem.........do the damn solutions ppl say i guess, makes sense, still obviously u can not please everyone I dunno there is more I feel but its nothing to do with this thread.......I just can pray to see a new lift, a damn good water park, anything else that would make a improvement, even a tram fromthe parking lot like a mini gondola even, but most of all I want to see this place ROCK with the most people all season, any season!!!
  3. Its nice to think that, I agree.....but the cold truth is, in the end, its all about money, how much the mountain made, and how much they spent.....the more they come out on top the better it is for them, and if they got nothing else to fall back upon such as real estate or whatever, then the choices to do everything have to be considered and thought about that much more in detail.......besides this late in the season, the chances of a good return on money spent now is slim, its lucky any mountain is even blowing snow, if they are its only to touch up spots, mostly around the load/unload areas and few select other places. hell its also expensive to blow snow, its more then just hooking up a hose or two, flicking a switch and wham bam there ya go.....I am not to sure how it is either with Shawnee Mtn. but most resorts have a peak time to blow snow in which when they do it is cheaper then normal price, and then off peak, which to say the least is when they pay full price to blow snow, this time period usually ends either near the beginning or middle of Feb. If someone knows how it works at Shawnee please let me know, I am curious, just going by past experience here on this
  4. The race teams thinking they have full free reign of a place............no never, some other mountains, wow those racers can be the most arrogant pricks around, even the coaches can be dicks.....then other places, the kids are a good as gold.......I dunno what it is, but hell it is something alright...sure if a race or practice or some other special event that is going on, it should be marked as such and the mountain should not be posted as a 100% open during the times that the events are going on, its all to much to get into, but it can be a inconvenience for some people, and some people think its alright.......I don't care either way, if I see a event happening on a slope I like a lot and its clearly marked as closed at the top of the run, I might get pissed, but I understand that it goes on, they all pay a price to do what they are doing, and its important to them just like it is to us who love the snow.........its not only all about terrain parks, and flying down slopes.....the race teams, well race as what they see fun about it........I dunno, I hope this made sense, I am going to sleep.....its near 4 am now, and I still did not go to sleep........
  5. Not really beef man, its funny actually, for as long as I worked there in the past, almost every WMMR day I can remember its either the weather being sucky, or a lift breaking down, or jut some sorta catastraf*ck going on......its funny actually almost like WMMR days are cursed to something......as for needing a Harvey Wallbanger, hehehehe, ahhh how I wish, but the wife to be would kill me
  6. Ohh only 50 degrees thats not warm enough, but then again if your a D'osh it would be just fine, hey yummerzzz could we sit at the bar all day and spy on the races??? Maybe even pick a official winner out before the races even begin, who knows it could even be someone that doesn't even enter the race....
  7. what a shame it would be if it were to rain, ohh how my feelings would not be hurt.......
  8. Is it also possible to look at it as 1. your side of the story 2. my side 3. somewhere in the middle is the truth
  9. Just curious to see who all had fun this weekend at Sno Mtn, and what everyone thought of it. Saturday was busy and crazy. As for Sunday well not to sure how everything was before 1 pm, but wow the conditions were amazing. Seems they blew snow Saturday night, and maybe even Sunday night. Seen the "BIG GUNS" warming up before I left. I really am not sure though bout them blowing Sunday night due to how the weather was.
  10. My god Capitan, Main power is offline, Aux engines are at 24%, the lines are squeaking, casualties coming in from all lifts..The commander at F-lift says he needs back up support NOW.....call in the shuttlecraft ski patrol, have them lay down ski pole cover fire....We're not giving up this mountain with out a fight, we got to at least hold them in the neutral mountains zone....
  11. Thinking bout possibly getting a different one, I love mine a well...but hey, I never have one comp very long, besides I need to find a good one to buy before I make the final decision to sell or not
  12. Hey got a dell Inspiron E-1505 notebook thinking bout selling got all install disks with it, excellent condition, less then a year old, paid about 1000$, duo processor, 1 GB RAM, 40 GB HDD, 2 - 2.0 USB ports, External monitor hookup, 2 - 1.0 USB ports, memory card port, wireless capable, 56 K modem, network hookup, Windows XP Service pack 2. right now looking to buy another comp, so right now looking for some offers, while I look into possibly getting a new one...any other questions PM me and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge.
  13. going to be a blast....why is it quite a few ppl I know never could stand going to BB, even now with the mountain destroyed, don't get me wrong the parks are ok at BB, but nothing compared to Sno.
  14. I do not think other then some of the Dee Dee Dee's that have pipe dreams, no one really does expect anything grand from JFBB....I believe though Sno Mtn. got a few tricks up their sleeves to just show how dominate they are in the ski industry at least round here in the Poconos...Guess only time will tell
  15. Wow...I am not even going to start on this topic..... thats correct Jordan
  16. They realize how dumb the stuff they are doing really is, its just they do not care. Its obvious to see in more ways then one. At least you and a few others are not afraid to speak up about it. Keep up the good work. Hell if that is really a season pass offer I will say thats the best one I heard yet, can you sign me up for life then? A pass at Sno Mtn. Well if Sno Mtn or any other resort offered that kinda pass I am sure business would be booming for every mountain, hell I would get a season pass for everywhere. But only a 100$ bar credit, that would last most people about a hour due to how damn expensive booze is at every resort....maybe a 500$ bar credit would be better, hey how bout some discounts on food and in the retail shop to for a bonus to the pass? Pushing someone over??? Hmmm isn't that kinda against the code of conduct? I am sure thats a good example for kids to see. That ought to be great PR for a employee to be saying this. Good deal if you are park focused, are you by any chance Papasteeze? Cuz the majority of the loyal customers are NOT park focused, part of the reason they did not return this season. And to buy a season pass this early for next year, you got to be outta your mind. Its 2 many variables to foresee that could happen. Jump on it if you want to ride after your mountain closes, now I am not saying JFBB will close first, second, third whatever, but dude if they close last whatever, but think about if they close first then what?? Something has to be done about the tickets I agree, I am sure at one point or another everyone thats on here or at least reads this has had some sorta problem involving the ticket system. As for the prices and what not with the changes there, I made my points on that in past posts, just I got crucified to the cross for doing so. Well lets see how everything plays out for next season, I know it will turn out to be damn interesting to watch unfold......
  17. Some new updates om roads round this area...parts of 940 are closed....and it seems 80 is to....anything changes I'll try to keep up with it
  18. YO Snow peeps, jut wanting to ee who i loving all this snow we got the pat few days, sure we can live without the wonderful conditions of the roads.....lemme tell ya way to go Rendell for getting rid of the contractors that help PENNDOT out....well hope no one go into any accidents and having a good time out there either at home, work or on the mountain.....
  19. They only shut some of the guns off near 8 this morning, I was watching the cam at both places. possible the lack of grooming, due to the guns being on...
  20. am I right to say being a snowboarder is one thing as is being a skier, I am also sure there is something out there just for the skiers that a snow boarder can not enter into. Does it really matter, I myself ski, but like this competion I can not enter, so if I was there I would be watching, have fun all the same, and if there is something for skiers only, I would only hope the boarders come not necessarly for me but just to watch, and kinda reciprocate the respect. Hope this made sense, but hey its all involving the snow none the less....Have fun, no matter what you do. Why argure
  21. Well whoever enters have fun.....but I do disagree with the no skiers, yet at the same time I do agree with it...In the past snowboarders didn't have it so good, kinda like what comes around goes around
  22. Seems your right Jordan, it really would not be a shock....And I drink Lager like water but heard of no such contest at the same time so, anyone know for sure really?
