  1. I almost forgot.... #11 Get the snowmobiles off the trails. I've never been to a ski area that has so many snowmobiles running around.
  2. 1. Fix the potholes in the parking lots 2. Make some better food 3. Straighten out the lift lines at the quad and six packs 4. Open earlier on weekends, even if its just for us pass holders 5. Dont have the best trail in the state closed for a rinky dink race team every weekend 6. Have a bar in the valley lodge 7. Salt the entrance road 8. Keep everyone's ski equipment out of the lower lodge, I'm tired tripping over skis and boards lying all over the floor. 9. Try making some powder snow. I think they have enough base and there is no reason to be making slush every night. 10. Tell the groomers to slow down a bit. Blue has the best machines money can buy, poor conditions equals operator error. I'm sure everyone can add to this list.
  3. I just wish they'd be a little original in thier thinking. The mountain itself is excellent and I'll continue to buy saeson passes there because of that and it's close to home. New ownership has been given a ski area and excellent weather this season, now do something to make the place better.
  4. Buy a pass for next season now and get to use it for the rest of this season. I'm sure you all read that in Blue's newsletter this week but, did you read it in Camelback's newsletter a few days earlier? Just like the VIP lounge and VIP lift line, Blue's new ownership and marketing gurus shamelessly copies Camelback's newsletters and ideas..If they want to be like Camelback, which I'm all for, why dont they drive up to Camelback and see what a ski lodge looks like and what an apres ski atmoshpere is supposed to be. Come on Blue, come up with some of your own ideas, try having a concert in October or a Ski Patrol reality show or build tent for tubing....on second thought keep copying everyone else.
  5. If anything that joke of a show should have knocked them down a few pegs.
  6. Hot off the press..... Blue mountain will be hosting it's second annual ROCK festival October 10-11, 2009. New Marketing director and star of the smash hit TV show Ski Patrol, Jim "The Cable Guy" Dailey announced the festival yesterday in a press conference from the new VIP lounge at Blue's summit lodge. Jim stated that the festivals main goal will be to attract more than the 400 people who atttended last years event...For more info check www.rockthefall.com
  7. I'm sure the new ownership at Blue cant wait to close and start counting all the money from what is surely a record season. I'd have to predict that March 22nd will be the last day. I was there in todays wind storm, they have enough snow to stay open til April.
  8. Blue is doing parking lot studies and is throwing around the idea of charging for parking, like every other entertainment venue.
  9. I'll buy the first keg. I do like the pulled pork sandwich, but can do without the sigh and roll of the eyes from the Barkeeps when I order food.
  10. A mid season food price increase at Blue? Are you kidding me? Paid an extra 50 cents for a stale cheeseburger last night. When is the madness up there going to stop? When I mentioned it to the bartender, he said the health inspector was there and found a bunch of violations and maybe they were raising the prices to cover fines. PS Blue...A plasma TV in a moldy smelling room with an empty beer fridge doesnt qualify as a VIP lounge.
  11. No. But those "in the know" at Blue will get it.
  12. Let a bunch of guys with 5th grade educations loose at night and they could screw up anything.
  13. The friday of MLK weekend is usually a shitshow at Blue, I'm hoping the cold keeps the crowds at home.
  14. Skied Dreamweaver monday AM, not bad,but very short. It took four years to build that? WTF?
  15. Doesnt look like great snowmaking temps this week, I hope Blue doesnt take down the park and then isnt able to make enough snow snow to make it worthwhile putting back together by the weekend. Its bad enough to have the race kids all over the mountain on weekends we dont need all the park kids trying to slide there way down challenge with their mid mounted skis with the edges filed off. See you guys in the morning.
  16. Its not open because there is no snowmaking or lights. Hopefully next year.
  17. PASR's influence is showing..... Saw Barb sporting a new pair of Leki poles over the weekend.
  18. When was the snowboarding school at Blue good? X2
  19. I'll be there. Red Patagonia jacket, silver Boeri helmet with a Nestor's sticker on the back. Skiing brand new K2 Recons.
  20. Where's the season pass holder lounge that Blue was so proud to be announcing? I'm surprised there isnt an "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" sign on it like the new trail they've been promising for the past 4 seasons.
  21. I heard its a coffee cabin. No more fried oreos.
