  1. Fawk, always waiting till the last minute! Big meeting at Sno tomorrow, we'll see what they have to say
  2. Key question there... how far do you want to travel. If you just want a stiff performance boot, most shops can order them. If you want a real race boot, they need to have a boot fitter on staff, and a good one at that. Race boots don't typically fit anyone well right off the bat and need allot of tweeks to work well. Otherwise you are wasting good $$$. I don't know of any great boot fitters in PA. There are allot of good ones, but anyone who stands out? Two of my racers head to VT for their work. There was a dude in Stratton who was the best in the East, but i think he moved to another mountain. Otherwise, i got good fittings for my boots at Pinnacle in Reading.
  3. Is that so!? Well... i could certainly think of better parking lots in which that could be done! But i guess anywhere is fine in the long run.
  4. This thread seems to be way off topic lately Jeez, you shoulda yelled, i would have stopped over! I 'may' make some thursdays, we'll see. I have to take the Sea Doo out one more time to figure out where that leak is!!
  5. Yup, she is a bit small for her age, by an inch or two. She'll be heart broken when she leaves the Devo team, thats for sure. Colleen is like her big sister and that's that. Jeez, you have one in college? wow! That's neat you can course inspect with her and share course details... as opposed to "OK, go to the right around the first gate, and to the left around the second gate...."
  6. The Devo team awaits! I'll have my daughter on the look-out for yours, she'll make her feel welcomed. Wish i lived closer, otherwise i'd be up there Thursdays. But no worries, i make up for lost time in the bar during the weekends . I loved ASRA back in the day and wish i could commit to a few races, but i'm off with my 1-2's every weekend. I may be sliding down to the 4-5's in a year or two, if and when my daughter decides to race USSA. Otherwise i'll have to wait till my son gets up in years and gives it a go. He's 4, so it may be awhile. Not sure on the Nastar course! Early word was it was moving one slope over to skiers right. Our meeting is in a few weeks, i'll know more then.
  7. Ughhh... know what? I thought Livetming had a total result. instead one has to do allot of math. Somewhere, i thought, i saved the overall WS results. I'll look again. Tommy pretty much lead our boys though, With Kelly Rowland leading our girls.
  8. MLSC = Main Line Ski Club. Ahh yes, good ole Gus. So we may run into each other allot this year. Colleen's been a good friend for years and my daughter will be with her at least one more year, maybe 2. Words cannot describe Colleen's ability to keep those kids in line and interested in her plans for the day. Her crew will now and again stay out longer than my J1-J2 kids on a foul weather training day. Her secret involves sugar by the way
  9. I didn't know you had a problem viewing that site. There may also be results listed on the MARA (maine racing??) or Sunday River site. Not sure. I'll see if i can figure each one of their places out tonight when i get home. Off to bear creek for the fall fest.
  10. Clicky-linky here... http://www.live-timing.com/races.php?pc=1&...=March&y=07 3/20 is the Future Star Kombi race, which was a full length race course that was Started at GS, went to SL and back to GS again, pretty cool! 3/18 was the actual shootout. It was to be 3/17, but we had that Nor'Easter socked the area with 12+ inches and they postponed the event bc no one could make it up to SR on time Although i represented PARA, i had no PA kids on my crew for the future stars event. They take all the kids and all the coaches and jumble them up so no coach has any kids they know. I had 4 kids from SARA (one as far south as Beech Mt. in NC), a few NY'ers and two from Maine. We ended up winning the whole match out of 17 or 18 teams. We won mainly bc we had the most vertical feet skied in a 6 hour period (talk about a tired coach!!).
  11. Hey thanks! And where the heck did you dig up that old result!? LOL!! Ok, i'm getting the feeling i know you... Care to divuldge?
  12. Ahh, oooK. Being new, i have allot to learn about personalities i guess And i even thougt twice before posting, thinking ;can he be for real? LOL, sorry again!
  13. All the old guns were sent back to SMI for updating but i think they will start from scratch with that side of the mt. and prob. just T-off the pipes already in place. Then again, once all the trails are up and running, that will likely be a whole 'nother leg of the snow making system. So all mountains are supposed to be glade skiing and if you must cut a tree down, use a handsaw.
  14. At least they have an expanded lounge with a new deck. Nothing like a bit more sun sipping a fine brew
  15. Talk about a fun event! I was one of the coaches for the PARA team the last few years for the shootout and future stars. Yeah, Pa kids did very well, i was proud of them. However, by J3's, we tend to lose some ground as allot of the northern racers head to academies. That's never much of an issue for our PA racers though, they seems to understand this and take it with a grain of salt. Looking forward to this season!
