Stu,
Revello’s is where I usually stop on way back home. I don’t know what time they open though.
I'll check their website for their hours. I googled OF Pizza and some are closed mondays. I checked out Arcaro and Genells they're open and highly rated. Checking out Revellos now..

Just spoke to the Herminator.... It's still snowing at Elk. 3-4" today.
He'll meet you in the lower lot around 8:00, no need to gather at 7:40 that's a little too early for him.
Conditions are exquisite..... Should be a Good Day.
Request to the Old Forge Pizza experts .... I thought I could pick up a tray of Red Meat Lovers on the way. I've never stopped before.... Can someone suggest a Pizza Shop? Also, will it be open Monday?

Any idea on your time of arrival?
Do you remember how to get to Halfway House?
The Herminator can meet up in lower parking lot to lead you there, if necessary.
He'll be driving a burgundy Honda SUV.
What's everyone driving?
Walt and Pops red Ford pickup....

I double checked the halfway house. The fire is burning and most occupants have picnic baskets.

I'm at home... haven't skied in 11 days... furnace quit and all kinds of problems at TLCITW... frozen pipes, busted lines, sewer frozen etc. Needless to say very dismayed and disgusted. Hopefully will return with more tools and get everything functional and cleaned up wednesday.
Any snow up there Rummy?
Should be excellent PASR Monday, fresh storm predicted..

I really like Lehigh. It’s like a nice walk in the woods. Good scenery and every time I’ve been on it I had it to myself.
Today it's closed....I'm guessing. Probably for safety from falling branches etc...

I'm going to check with them next week. This year's been strange. Big Al's been taking care of his 96 year old mom and the Herminator has been busy with his in-laws.Rummy are the guys you go on ski trips with gonna be there?
I think things will change and they'll be able to. We'll see..

Hi Rummy (autocorrected to yummy lol) we need to buy tix at window it looks like or am I wrong? Can you confirm? Thanks.
Salty answered it... Yes only at the ticket Windows at main lodge. No online sales...

The HWH was the original lodge back in 1959. And yes that's the locals joke. The proper Elk name is the "Picnic Lodge"...They let random people in and out of the halfway house? Aren’t they worried about people sneaking the residents drugs?

Since this is a weekday, and because you guys get to the mountain early, you should be able to park in the upper lot. You can unload your goods at the halfway house but need to park elsewhere. That is in the upper lot, NOT the lower lots.I believe we drove up to it last time? Maybe?
You will also be able to boot up in the halfway house, then ski down to buy your ticket at the main lodge. No need to ride the Elk wagon.

I could pre-cook some things and use the fire to warm them and do a Meaty Monday at vehicles apres if we want to. I’m sure we all don’t want to hang out inside, nice and convenient as those tables are.
There are picnic tables set up slopeside in front of Halfway House...

Looks like according to the FAQ on Elk's page the Halfway House (picnic lodge I assume) is open, @rummyhave they been firing up the grill in there?
From the wonderful odors, the fire is lit. I haven't stopped in all season however.

Should have everything open for sure. They've been blowing the last two trails and big park nonstop the last day or so. Adding to what they blew previouslyDoes Elk have everything open yet? And will they by the 8th? I would hope so, but I'm just curious.

Not necessary! I should be able to join the group around 2:00 after the appointment. It's about a two hour drive.. no ribs however...I motion to make sure it's a day that Rummy can grace us with his presence.
